I understand this space is supposed to be about seeking assistance with our practice rather than satisfying curiosities and intellectual inquietudes and there may be too many questions about the more fantastical elements of the lore and intellectually intriguing or confusing aspects of the teachings but I hope you will entertain this query as I think it may be helpful to find some clarity.

I continue to experience doubt when I come across contradictions or things that don't add up logistically.

One such confusion is that I have heard several times in the audio lectures where instructors state that every person on this planet, without exception, is a product of fornication. But we are also told that immaculate conception is possible for anyone. So which is it? Is it that the instructors have knowledge that no one currently alive is the product of successful immaculate conception? Is it that rare of an occurrence?

Or is it that the instructors are using hyperbole, meaning the vast majority, rather than literally every single person? Like how they say that one must completely eradicate the ego in order to escape the wheel of samsara on this planet, but then we find out that this is not technically true, since nirvanis, and even gods, have some form of ego that they still need to work on.

My humble opinion is that it is unwise to make explicitly absolute statements for the purpose of making a point, if it is not technically true - if there are rare exceptions. Or are these statements true and I am missing something?

Thank you.

The statement regarding fornication was hyperbolic, since humanity is not interested in, is ignorant of, and is resistant to chastity: the basis of an immaculate conception.
