The runic practices where we position our body in different configurations while pronouncing the seven vowels; IEOUAMS, how important is it to imagine the chakras spinning in their locations when going through each vowel?
I am not totally sure which chakras each vowel relates to, so is there a diagram that shows us their exact positions?
And why is it that we need to work with the chakras, I'm aware that certain powers may develop such as clairvoyance, telepathy, etc as a side effect but what is the real purpose for these practices?

The purpose of these practices is to encourage our energies to flow as they should, restored to how they once worked (a LONG time ago).
We are spiritually, consciously blind now. Nourishing the chakras is part of restoring our spiritual health. The chakras allow energy to flow between the bodies, the various aspects of our psyche. When the energy flows properly, we are able to receive the guidance God needs to give us: through intuition, visions, insight, etc.
It is helpful to imagine consciously, since this is directly connected with the restoration of our spiritual sight. It requires effort, practice, and energy to restore our imagination and concentration, so do your best to work with them everyday.

I have one more question if you don't mind, in the reference that you have posted for us, it does not refer to the mantra "A" or "Ah", since we are working with this vowel when performing the Runes, how should we approach it? Does this vowel relate to any chakra?
