Hi,

I was taught the tummo yoga discipline by a precious Buddhist tulku. I also completed the spiritual exercises laid out by the Jesuit founder St. Ignatius of Loyola. The tummo yoga discipline requires visualization of a meditation-deity. The spiritual exercises of St. Ignatius requires visualization of one's own death and the life of Christ from beginning to end.

As an aspiring gnostic student experimenting to absorb spiritual wisdom, would practicing these two disciplines simultaneously make problems or conflicts with one another??

No particular beliefs were required to receive tummo initiation and aside from all dogmatic religious views and with a little discrimination, the spiritual exercises are purely spiritual. So can I do both exercises as a gnostic student??

THANK YOU

All of us practice similar techniques, which actually complement one another quite well. What is important is to understand the purpose of each practice so that they are integrated in a way that fulfills their purposes.

So in accordance with the teachings of Master Samael A.W., students should seek the essence of any teaching, the dew drop. Thanks for the response Matt Tom!
