Law of Attraction

The law of attraction or manifestation is a modern spiritual belief claiming that positive or negative thoughts "attract" positive or negative experiences into a person's life. Believers advocate positive thinking and/or visualizations to acquire what one wants.

People who are suffering, discontent, or filled with desires are easily seduced by this theory, but it is incomplete.

In reality, positive or negative experiences are the result of our actions. This is simple cause and effect.

It is not enough to merely think positively or imagine positive scenes. One must also act.

Results always speak for themselves. Good intentions ["positive thoughts"] are worthless if the facts are disastrous. —Samael Aun Weor, Tarot and Kabbalah

For if a man [with "positive thoughts"] think himself to be something [ie. rich, awakened, spiritual], when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself... Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth [in his actions], that shall he also reap. —Christian Bible, Galations 6

How foolish are those who make mentalistic propaganda, those who promise mental powers, those who teach others how to dominate other persons’ minds, etc. The mind has not made anyone happy. True happiness is very much beyond the mind. One cannot come to know happiness until one has become independent of the mind. —Samael Aun Weor, Revolution of the Dialectic
