(Sanskrit पितृ) Literally, "ancestors, forefathers, father and mother." In spirituality, the term pitri refers to the forefathers of humanity of long forgotten ages, such as the Lemurian or Polar eras, or even older, the ancient humanity who populated the planet we now call the Moon.
