(Greek) Macro means “great, large.” Cosmos means “order, harmony, the
world (from its perfect order and arrangement).” In Universal
Gnosticism, the term macrocosmos can refer to the universe in general,
or specifically to a galaxy, which is one of seven levels of the whole
creation.
