Duality and the Trinity of the Tree of Life (Kabbalah) and Tree of Knowledge (Tantra)

There must be love between husband and wife, because love is the base, the foundation of the great work.

Unquestionably, the great arcanum corresponds exactly to tantric science, to tantra. There are three kinds of tantra: white tantra, black tantra, and gray tantra.

White tantra is understood as the sahaja maithuna without ejaculation of the ens-seminis. Because as Philippus Theophrastus Bombastus von Hohenheim (Aureolus Paracelsus) wisely said: “within the ens-seminis is found all the ens-virtutis of fire”. Thus, in white tantra the ejaculation of the ens-seminis is excluded.

Black tantra is different. The black tantrics commit the crime of spilling the cup of Hermes Trismegistus during the sahaja maithuna, and this is serious, because in this way they develop the abominable kundabuffer organ.

I want you to understand that through white tantra the awakening of the sacred serpent (the Nahash Nahashoth נחש נחשת or serpent of Bronze) is achieved in a positive way. The serpent is, let's say, the solar electronic fire, the sexual power, let's say, in its most subtle state, a type of transcendental energy. Obviously, that sacred fire, that "kundalini" as it is called in the east, rises through the spinal canal, and as it rises, it awakens each one of the intimate powers of the human being.

In black tantra everything is different. The black tantrics commit the crime, as I already said, of spilling the cup of Hermes. Then the kundalini, instead of rising, descends, precipitates from the coccyx downwards to the atomic infernos of the humanoid.

That fire rushing downwardly towards the lower animal depths is what is called the “kundabuffer organ”, which turns one, in fact, into a dark personality, into a terribly perverse demon.

But there is also gray tantra. In gray tantra, the question of seminal ejaculation is not given much importance: sometimes it is ejaculated, sometimes it is not ejaculated. In short, in conclusion, the only thing they want is to perpetuate sexual enjoyment, the enjoyment of chemical intercourse with the purpose of satisfying their senses, and that, in fact, is a crime that leads to nothing; in the long run it becomes black magic of the worst quality.

Thus, what is important is white tantra, but spilling the glass of Hermes Trismegistus should be carefully avoided (as I already said).

Restrained desire will raise, transform or transmute, let us say, the sacred sperm into energy; and that energy will ascend through certain pair of channels that are placed around the spine. In the east, these channels are called "Ida" and "Pingala".

The moment will come when the forces of Ida and Pingala, that is, the solar and lunar powers, will unite in the Triveni, near the coccyx, and as a result the kundalini serpent will awaken; it will go upward along the spinal cord to radically transform us.

During the practice you have to chant the mantras Iiiiii. Aaaah. Ooooo...

Disciple: Is chanting out loud better?

Samael Aun Weor: if you can sing out loud, so much the better; if you can't sing out loud, well, in a very quiet voice; and if it is not possible in a quiet, soft way, then, even if it is done with the mind; it all depends on the circumstances.

Undoubtedly, there should be no animal passion during the practice of sahaja maithuna. Purity of thought is required. It is unquestionable that sex has its own flavor, and it is the erotic state, and this is natural. But lust is something else. Lust is a question, let's say, of bestial thoughts, of profanation, right? Undoubtedly, when you have morbid thoughts, there is lust, and it must be carefully avoided; not to have, in practice, morbid thoughts of any kind. An uplifting and essentially dignifying attitude is needed; may there be purity in thought, in word and in deeds. This is how it should work.

At the beginning it is not advisable to do long practices because since the body is not used to it, it can resent it. Practices should be short at first, a few minutes at most. As time goes by, practices can be lengthened; it's a matter of time.

If, unfortunately, an orgasm of a physiological type occurs, then it is advisable to withdraw from the act and lie face up on the floor, hold your breath (if possible controlling the nostrils with the index finger and thumb), and holding the breath it sends the nervous current downwards, towards those sphincters that communicate with the sexual glands, let us say with the urethra, to prevent the sacred sperm from being eliminated. If the effort is very great, you have to hold your breath and then in no way will it be a fall. The fall is only such, when the orgasm has been provoked by our willpower. But if the orgasm came involuntarily and if, in addition, the tantric man makes an effort, sacrifices himself, fights lying down in the dorsal decubitus position, that is, face up, holding back for that orgasm to prevent the escape of the seminal liquor, then there has been no fall. The fall, I repeat, occurs when one provokes the orgasm, when there are “nods of our willpower”, when one bows before the beast without having to carefully avoid the physiological orgasm.

Disciple: For the couples who are starting out, it is important to practice it with the Tao key, right?

Samael Aun Weor: Well, I haven't heard of that key except from the master G. K..; I don't know, let's say, about this type of practice, and since I haven't used it, I haven't practiced it, I can't give a concept about it, right?

Disciple: In one of your books, I heard you will give descriptions of different sexual positions, is that true?

Samael Aun Weor: I gave, precisely, all the sacred positions; those that are in The Mystery of the Golden Flower. Yes, there are some even illustrated in there. It is good to thoroughly study that book, because by means of it you can orient yourself intelligently.

The master G. K. has practiced maithuna with the Tao key and of course, he can give his concept of it. I couldn't speak on this practice because when I practiced the maithuna, when I worked with the maithuna, I never used the Tao key. I have based myself exclusively, we could say, on the asanas that have been given in the eastern world for the practice of the maithuna, as they are written in some sacred texts of Hindustan and Tibet. I do not mean that the Tao key is not useful, since it gave very good results to the master G. K., and possibly some who have practiced it, it has given them very good results, right? I only refrain from passing comment on it, because I have not experienced it; and one cannot conceptualize about that which one has not experienced for oneself.

Disciple: Of the sexual positions, I believe that this may be the most favorable, because it is the one in which there is less risk, I believe.

Samael Aun Weor: In any case, there is, I believe, in The Mystery of the Golden Flower all the tantric positions, or tantric asanas that are used in the eastern world for the practice of the sahaja maithuna.

Disciple: Master, regarding the mantra I.A.O., if it is mantralized out loud, how should the mind think that the seminal vapors rise?

Samael Aun Weor: Well, it's better that you don't think; what goes up, goes up; it rises without the need for one to think about it. It is obvious that by restraining, let us say, the animal impulse, the sacred sperm is transformed into energy. That energy, in turn, is bipolarized into positive and negative solar and lunar currents. The positive (solar) ones ascend by Pingala and the negative (lunar) ones by Ida. In any case, they are a pair of nerve cords that exist in the spinal cord; the solar and lunar currents always rise there. Solar atoms are positive, lunar atoms are negative. When they make contact in the Triveni, near the coccyx, the awakening of the sacred fire comes.

Disciple: Also, when practicing the great arcanum, it is an opportune moment to eliminate defects, right?

Samael Aun Weor: Yes, it is true: during the practice of the sahaja maithuna, if one wants, one can beg devi-kundalini, the potential shakti, our particular Cosmic Mother (because each one has their own), to eliminate from our psychic nature this or that psychological error, which we have already thoroughly comprehended, completely, at all levels of the mind.

Disciple: Does this refer to the Divine Mother Kundalini?

Samael Aun Weor: You have to beg her; the scriptures say: "ask and it will be given to you, knock and it will be opened to you"...

Disciple: At the moment in which the sahaja maithuna is being practiced, a cherub is formed, right?

"Something is created when a man and a woman unite sexually. In those moments of supreme adoration, he and she are really only one androgynous being with powers to create like the Gods. The Elohim are male and female. Man and woman united sexually during the supreme ecstasy of love are really one terrifically divine Elohim." -The Perfect Matrimony

Samael Aun Weor: Well during the sahaja maithuna the masculine and feminine forces are mixed, right? And, naturally, a certain inner power can be used for... ...in any case, what is vital, what really matters is the supplication to the potential shakti, to our particular Cosmic Mother.

In the Hebrew kabbalah, for example, there is a lot of talk about the kabbalistic sephiroth. Mention is made of Kether, the ancient of days, the truth of truths, the mercy of mercies, the hidden of the hidden, etc. Then follows Chokmah; Chokmah is the intimate Christ. Then follows Binah, he is the Holy Spirit, the lord Shiva, the Archi-hierophant and Archi-magician; in turn, lord Shiva unfolds in the particular cosmic mother of each one of us.

Tree of Life 2.0 plain

Needless to say, that each of us has their own Shiva, like their own Chokmah and their own Kether. Unquestionably, this particular Shiva splitting asunder into the kundalini mother is extraordinary. She, the Divine Mother, is the Eve from above, the heavenly Eve and this divine couple are the foundation of everything.

Then come the other sephiroth of the kabbalah, those of the triangle that we could call ethical: they are Chesed, the innermost; Geburah, which is our spiritual soul, which is feminine; and Tiphereth, our human soul, which is masculine.

Afterwards, it becomes, the wonderful magic triangle, formed by Netzach and the mental world, our own particular mind; then Hod which is the astral body; and Yesod which is, let us say, the vital or etheric body and also the Linga Sarira of the Hindustani. Malkuth, properly speaking, is the physical world.

But well, what I want to tell you is that he and she, Shiva-Shakti (our Father who is in secret and our Divine Mother), meet in the cubic stone of Yesod, that is, in the ninth sphere (or sephirah), in sex. There they meet, there they unite sexually.

There is also the wonderful sephirah Daath, of which the Hebrew kabbalists speak about, which is the sephirah of wisdom, intelligence, understanding, and above all, it is the sephirah (speaking specifically), of tantric science.

Unquestionably, Daath is tantra; only through tantra can we achieve the intimate self-realization of the being. Without tantra, without Daath, it would not be possible to reach self-realization.

There are different schools that think that the kundalini can be awakened, for example, through pranayama. Such a concept has no fundamental basis. Those who have advocated such an erroneous idea are not true initiates, or at least they have not reached enlightenment.

Disciple: Pranayama is what they call the bachelor practice, right?

Samael Aun Weor: Well, pranayama is the system that exists for the transmutation of sexual energies through breathing, that singles practice. Unquestionably, pranayama is useful for clearing the canals of Ida and Pingala.

It usually happens that some sparks escape, let's say, from that coccygeal center, from that center where the serpentine fire is enclosed, and that they rise through the Sushumna canal, that is, the spinal canal, and produce some illuminations or awakenings.

But it happens that those who are not properly self-realized, or those who are not really... ...to speak more clearly, without fear of vagueness of any kind, believe that because a spark has awakened, one has already awakened the kundalini fire and that is not true.

The sacred kundalini serpent awakens only through tantric science, through the wise combination of masculine and feminine powers.

The very psycho-physiological fact that the chakra or magnetic center where the kundalini is enclosed, is found between the sexual organs and the anus, tells us a lot, right?

muladharaChakra

And if you then carefully observe the shape of that chakra, you can see a yoni in the center, a female yoni (of course, because the yoni is female), and inside the yoni in the center there is a phallus, that is, a lingam; and in that lingam or phallus (which means the same thing), the sacred serpent is coiled.

This is interesting, right? That these are the lingam-yoni in an esoteric, mystical or magical gesture, in the center of that chakra; it is something that should make us reflect.

Let's not forget that the lingam is the phallus, and the yoni is the uterus; and I repeat: we must meditate a lot on the fact that the sacred serpent is coiled three and a half times, precisely, in that magical phallus, which is in the center of the chakra and inside the lingam. This is telling us that only through the lingam-yoni is it possible to awaken the igneous serpent of our magical powers.

Any other system to awaken the kundalini is in fact absurd, contrary to the physiological constitution, or better to say, the psycho-physiological constitution of the muladhara chakra.

Tree Of Lives 1

Thus, only through transcendent sexual eroticism is the awakening of the igneous serpent of our magical powers achieved. She rises through the spinal canal, and in her ascension, she awakens each one of the centers, let's say, of the dorsal spine, opens each one of the seven churches.

The first to open is, obviously, the church of Ephesus, which gives us powers within the mineral kingdom.

The second, then, is at the height of the prostate, the church of Smyrna. As the woman does not have a prostate, well, we would say that in the woman it is at the height of the uterus. In women, instead of the prostate chakra, she has the uterine chakra, which is the same (prostate or uterine chakra is the same); she still has her chakra. That is the church of Smyrna that gives powers over the waters of life.

The third church that opens is the one in Pergamos; it is located, here, in the region of the solar plexus. That gives us the power of telepathy and also the power over universal fire.

And the fourth church that opens is that of Thyatira, which is, here, in the heart, in the cardias. When that chakra awakens, we can enter and leave the physical body at will; when that chakra is awakened, we can also manage the jinn states.

When one places the physical body within the fourth dimension, within the fourth coordinate, within the fourth vertical, one is naturally using the powers of the cardias. Certainly, I speak in general of the cardiac chakra, the Anahata chakra, which is nothing other than the church of Thyatira.

If we go a little higher, we enter the fifth church, which is that of Sardis. Yes, when the fire reaches the height of the creative larynx, that wonderful church opens, and then we acquire clairaudience.

When the fire reaches the height of the eyebrows, the church of Philadelphia opens, and we acquire clairvoyance.

When the fire reaches the height of the pineal gland, the church of Laodicea opens and then we acquire polyvoyance, intuition. It is precisely in the church of Laodicea where the wedding of Shiva-Shakti must take place.

The Shakti, that is, the Divine Mother, must rise like a serpent, like a viper along the spinal canal; and it is here, precisely in the pineal gland, where she comes to marry, formally, with lord Shiva. That is why here in the head there is a tattva that vibrates intensely: the Shiva-Shakti tattva. And the fire, finally, comes to radically transform one.

Unquestionably, fire has seven degrees of power, right? That's obvious. There is a need to develop each of these degrees of fire power. However, we must speak clearly: one comes to fully enjoy, let's say, the powers of kundalini or of the mother kundalini, when she, the serpent, totally devours us. She must swallow the soul, likewise she must devour the spirit.

When she has managed to devour us, we will truly come to enjoy the powers of the serpent. Before that, we pass through merely preparatory states. In turn, there will come a day on the esoteric path, when the eagle swallows the serpent (this represents a more advanced work).

The eagle is the Third Logos, the Holy Spirit, lord Shiva, the Arch-hierophant, the Arch-mage. When he swallows the serpent, well, obviously the feathered serpent remains exclusively in us, right? Why? Because she is the serpent, and the eagle is the Third Logos. When the Third Logos swallows the serpent then we have the feathered serpent Quetzalcoatl. That is, the self-realized human, the perfect human, the resurrected human, the human-god.

Disciple: The artists painted the eagle swallowing the snake, is it the same?

Samael Aun Weor: Precisely. This is represented in the symbol that we have here on the national flag: the eagle, the third logos, must swallow the serpent. But first the serpent must devour you, devour your soul, devour your spirit, swallow you; and when that has been achieved, then the Third Logos, the eagle, devours her.

Disciple: Is that when the snake swallows the soul, it swallows everything, is it when all the defects, the “I’s”, the egos are destroyed?

Samael Aun Weor: It is obvious, because the Divine Mother does not eat garbage, she does not eat anything filthy. She, the sacred serpent, could never devour anything unworthy. So that the soul can be devoured, the spirit, all our superior conscientious principles, etc., etc., well, we have to have radically eliminated the various subjective elements of perceptions, all the inhuman elements. As long as one has not eliminated all that is inhuman within, well, it is impossible for the sacred viper to devour us.

I repeat, she does not eat anything unworthy, she does not eat garbage; when the serpent radically devours us we are converted into the serpent. That is why Wotan, the great Mexican master, says: “I went through the snake's hole, a hole that reaches from the center of the earth to the root of the heavens; and I was able to enter that hole, in that passage of the serpent, because I am a serpent”...

Let us remember that all the great hierophants that exist in Babylon, Greece, etc., etc... were feathered serpents, that is obvious. The igneous wings that shine on the backbone of the angels, are the same wings that I am talking about; they are always opened by the fohat; they are the wings of the caduceus of mercury. So, the important thing is to get swallowed by the snake.

Disciple: Master in relation to the practice of the great arcanum: does the mere fact of the male and female being united, without lust (with love, but without lust), produce all kinds of phenomena, or is it necessary to add something more to it as soon as to mind, as for mantras; or is the simple union strong enough?

Samael Aun Weor: The simple union of man and woman is more than decisive, because in those moments Adam-Eve are one single being: they are a perfect androgyne. Unquestionably, at that moment, you are enveloped with an extraordinary magnetic light; if they do not commit the crime of spilling the cup of Hermes, then they will retain that light and with it they will be able to transform themselves, purify themselves.

There are two trees that are basic in life: one, the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil; and the other, the Tree of Life.

The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil is sex.

The Tree of Life is formed by the ten sephiroth of the Hebraic kabbalah. They are all those suprasensible regions that esotericists call:

  1. Kether, that is, the world of the father
  2. Chokmah, the world of the Christ
  3. Binah, the world of the holy spirit
  4. Chesed, the world of Atman the ineffable universal spirit of life
  5. the world of Geburah, which is the buddhic or intuitional world
  6. the causal world of Tiphereth
  7. the world of Netzach or mental world
  8. the world of Hod, that is, the astral
  9. the world of Yesod, the sexual substance, the ethereal world
  10. and Malkuth, the physical world.

These regions form the universe, it is what is called "Tree of Life".

Disciple: One human has the seven bodies: the mental body, the vital body, the astral body…?

Samael Aun Weor: Well, it is clear that the humanoids do not have the stature of a human; the ordinary humanoids think they have those bodies but they still do not.

Disciple: They have to create them!...

Samael Aun Weor: The only thing that the common and current humanoid has is the planetary body, and within the planetary body, yes, there is the vital seat (the one that sustains the organic principles, the body that serves as a base for the vital principles), and a little deeper down, what the humanoid has is the ego, the “I”, the myself.

There is also something very decent in the humanoid: the essence. But, that psychic essence is nothing more than a fraction, let's say, of Tiphereth, a bottled fraction, inserted, embedded among all those psychic aggregates that form the ego, the “I”, the myself, the self-willed.

Thus, "intellectual animals" claim things they do not have; they boast of having a sidereal vehicle, of possessing the mental and causal bodies, and I don't know what else, but they have not really manufactured anything like that yet. In order to have them you have to create them; and it is only possible to create them through the transmutation of the sperm into energy.

In other times, life was very different: in the time, for example, of Lemuria, people lived according to the fulasnitamnian principle. That fulasnitamnian principle allowed human beings to live very long ages, reaching up to 12 and 15 centuries. Each human being could live 12, 15 centuries; enough time to be able to create the superior existential bodies of the Being, through the fulfillment of the Being-Partkdolg-Duty.

What is the Being-Partkdolg-Duty? The Being-Partkdolg-Duty is our cosmic duty, and that duty must be fulfilled; the inhabitants of Lemuria fulfilled that duty. Thus, they prolonged life up to 12 and 15 centuries, more than enough time to create the superior existential bodies of the Being.

But when the "intellectual animals" forgot the fulfillment of that cosmic duty, that is, the Being-Partkdolg-Duty, when they developed the abominable kundabuffer organ, their life was shortened and then they were subjected to a very different law, the law that governs the life of every animal: the Itoklanos principle.

Since then, based on this principle, the "intellectual animals" die when it is least expect it, their life lasts 60, 80 years and die; they no longer have time to create the superior existential bodies of the Being, unless they really dedicate themselves to it.

When the human being lived according to the fulasnitamnian principle, it was different, because then he fulfilled the cosmic duty to wonder. That cosmic duty or Being-Partkdolg-Duty consists precisely in becoming aware of all the activities of the five cylinders of the organic machine.

For example, the "intellectual animal" normally has five cylinders in its organic machine: the first cylinder is the intellectual center. The inhabitants of Lemuria did not accept in their minds, in their intellect, any information, any data of which they were not fully aware. If an inhabitant of Lemuria, for example, studied a book, he spent whole years studying it, because he had to become fully aware of each word of the book; he had to verify it in the higher worlds of cosmic consciousness before he could accept it, accept the book; he always studied himself thoroughly with his consciousness.

They had objective reasoning; their reasoning was based on the different processes of their consciousness.

Today things are different: today people read mechanically, automatically. If we observe people reading the newspapers we are amazed, they seem mechanical entities; it is the same is with books, the same with everything… that is why the reasoning of these people is merely subjective. When the "intellectual animal" stopped fulfilling its Being-Partkdolg-Duty, it degenerated.

But let's go a little further. After the intellectual center we have the center of emotions; this emotional center is very fundamental. Unfortunately, people are not aware of their emotions. Observe the crowds in a bullring, the aberrations they commit: women taking off their underwear, throwing it at the bullfighters; barbarities... anyway, what does that indicate? They are carried away by violent emotions, they have no control over their emotions.

The inhabitants of Lemuria, as they knew how to fulfill the Being-Partkdolg-Duty, were aware of their emotions, they never accepted unconscious emotions.

Now, as for the center of the movement, we already know that it is related to our acts, customs, attitudes, etc. The inhabitants of Lemuria were aware of their actions, they could modify them at will; they did not accept automatic, unconscious acts and knew how to fulfill their cosmic duty.

As for the instinctive center, they were aware of their instincts (there are many instincts in us), and those people who knew how to fulfill the cosmic duty; they did not let themselves be carried away in a mechanistic manner by their instincts, they became aware of everything.

And finally, we have the fifth center: the sexual center. They were aware of the activities of sex, they did not commit the foolishness of extracting the sacred sperm from their organism, rather, they transmuted it to take advantage of the sexual hydrogen Si-12.

Such hydrogen was passed to a higher octave and developed within the notes do, re, mi, fa, sol, la, si; then it crystallized in the splendid form of the astral body, the astral body was created.

Taking the sexual hydrogen Si-12 to a second octave of a higher type, then the body of the mind appears, it comes to crystallize with the same musical notes.

And taking it to a third octave of higher order, the body of the conscious will appears; crystallizes with the notes do, re, mi, fa, sol, la, si...

There is no need to sing them; they didn't need to sing them. Those sounds are perpetuated during the same transmutation by themselves, without being provoked.

Thus, they crystallized their superior existential vehicles, created them, then received in their intimate nature, the soul principle, the causal soul or the human soul and became human beings.

But when the abominable kundabuffer organ was developed in the human species, everything changed: a disorder was established in the psyche, an anomaly. After that organ disappeared, the bad consequences of that organ remained in our nature: the very crystallizations of all our errors, of all the bad consequences of such organ.

Thus, it is obvious that the essence, the psychic principle, was bottled up within the bad consequences of that abominable kundabuffer organ...
