In the Bhavachakra course it is explained that "gods" are masters of various levels - they have some liberated consciousness, but as long as their ego is still alive they still have karmic debts and are not freed from the wheel.
Having said that, the teaching also admits that many "gods" may willingly choose to stay in the wheel. It somewhat makes sense to me - with their knowledge and liberated consciousness they can easily 'control' karma, and stay in the higher sectors, and continuously 'enjoy' the material life, rather than come out of the flow and become "nothing" in the Absolute (even if with a higher consciousness and liberated ego). But I understand they cannot do this infinitely.
I don't know how it feels to be a 'God' but to me, life on our planet has so many beautiful sides - for which you may choose to stay and live many many lives - enjoying and creating music, understanding the lower kingdoms and nature, comprehending the life on other planets, etc. Our physical shapes are beautiful, the light of Sun is something you cannot probably compare to anything in the Universe, the sounds of music created on the Earth by great masters may not be heard in the Absolute "Nothingness"... [I remember my father liked classical music very much. He did not believe in God, but he was pure in all his intensions. When he died (and he suffered immensely for months before he did) he came to my dream a few months later. - This is amazing - he said holding an open book in his hands - how could I not believe in this beautiful world? - You like it there? I asked. - Yes, he said, so much to learn yet. - How about music? I said, you liked music so much. how are you doing without it? - Nonsense, - he answered, here you hear sounds which you can not even compare to the noise what you call music on the Earth] - Is that true? I still think life on this Planet (if you live a pure, humble life) is beautiful, and the music created by greatest humans is the best. I am probably talking from a place of attachment?
Can one choose a path that is beautiful and gradual, I.e., paying karma goes softer? It probably means we will be sacrificing the speed of gaining of dharma?
To summarise my questions dear instructors,
- Can 'Gods' control their karma and for how long?
- Are the humans on our Planet (and I don't mean humanoids) the greatest creation in the Universe? And what is music?
- Can one choose their path and make the paying of karma go "softer"?
Thank you very much for reading this. Your insights would very much be helpful and appreciated!
