"Nothing so delights the faithful soul as the healthy consciousness of an unstained modesty. To have vanquished pleasure is the greatest pleasure; nor is there any greater victory than that which is gained over one's desires" Cyprian

I'm wondering how far this extends regarding vanquishing pleasure.

Bodily Pleasure - such as a massage, the first plunge into the ocean, the wind brushing against your cheek, being caressed or tickled...

Emotional Pleasure - such as when a loved one accomplishes a great feat, when union is experienced or simply when love is experienced.

And what of sexual pleasure with a beloved - non-spasmodic pleasure experienced in the erotic centres of the body...

These questions are not so much a reaction to the above quote. They have been brewing in me for a while now as I try to decipher the teachings. The differences between desire, yearning, lust, pleasure...of the innermost...of the egos..

In the lecture "Womens Saintly Predestination" Samael speaks of "That great happiness the woman feels when she holds a child in her arms, when she nourishes him at her breasts, when she offers him her love!" I so I get that this kind of enjoyment is acceptable, but Im yet to find anything in the scriptures or tewachings that refer to pleasure as something that doesnt need to be transformed.

Any clarification will be much appreciated!
