I find this subject constantly contradictory in my mind, and whenever I stumble upon passages from the bible, the dhammapada, and samaels works, regarding this subject. I find it all seems contradictory..

I am seeking some clarification, or maybe an example, thats real world, if you could help..

For example, in conversation:
Sometimes, i find I can't have normal chit-chat conversations with people... this can leave me either stressed out, or totally apathetic and lacking in any compassion whatsoever, to the average mundane conversations.. I find myself trying to always lead conversations into a direction of the teachings.. but a side effect is, I feel like I can no longer have a regular conversation, without it becoming some strange thing... It's a constant battle between Fanaticism and Indifference, or at least this is what I observe. What complicates the scenario, is through happenstance, and serendipity, I constantly find myself meeting people whom are interested in the teachings.. So im in a position that i should be speaking about these things, as I try to grow away from having to always talk about this stuff..

And Aswell in regards to the inner work:
how does one balance Fanaticism Vs. Indifference? Because the teachings always stress the intense need to work on ourselves.. but in other places, says we need to virtually submit ourselves to be consumed by life itself, letting it ravage us and leave us crucified.. Yet, the most common recurring issue in my life seems to be having my time taken away from my due to circumstance, the time I use to practice meditation, the time I use to work on myself.. leaving me with little time to practice, and focus on my inner works..

So how does one have indifference, when the idea is that one should place their internal works and practices, above all else? Indifference always leads to wasted time in my case...If we are just guided by the whims of samsara.. or external circumstances, then we will always be pulled away from inner work, our society almost seems it has been designed itself to specifically to stop people from their own inner works.. So wouldn't it require great fanaticism and isolation then to break free from it? I just am trying to measure what fanaticism would be regarded as?

This seems contradictory inside my mind, and the stuff i read only reinforces my confusion.

The only way to balance "fanaticism" and "indifference" is to annihilate them. The aspirant must discover and comprehend those "I's" of fanaticism and indifference within his interior through self-observation and to beg to his Divine Mother to destroy them in meditation.

There is simply no place in our psyche for the afflictions of dogmatism and apathy; these are obscurations of the mind that prevent us from correctly relating to our Being and to humanity. Since these afflictions cause great suffering in our personal relations and murkiness within our perception, we must therefore resolve, with military seriousness and tremendous will, to comprehend these aggregates in order that Devi Kundalini may extirpate them from our soul, for these elements can only be balanced through comprehension and complete and utter annihilation.

In regards to maintaining a practice regiment, you must also be mindful of time, your psychological energy, and your responsibilities. No one can resolve this issue but you and your Being. Listen to your heart. If you need to sacrifice certain times of the day to practice, then do so, but do so in a balanced way in respect to your terrestrial obligations and duties.

Though the Innermost may seldom interest Itself in outer things, we should always do so, and strive to conform to the laws of this world.

You also have to gauge your energy and to be skillful in managing your time in relation to this, since you may be too tired after certain activities to meditate or at certain times of the day, depending on your work.

Again, fanaticism does not resolve anything, since one can practice, but do so in a mistaken and mechanical manner. We need discipline, yes, but not a morbid, self-flagellating, and overzealous repressive attitude. Real discipline is organic and nourishes the soul and Being. It is a sense or sentiment of the consciousness that delights and enjoys engaging in spiritual practice, since the results are clearly defined and recognized. If you feel burdened by the thought of meditation, then you need to re-evaluate your method, application and approach, since meditation should produce sincere feelings of joy and liberation, since it is the path of joy and liberation.

It is not necessary to live isolated from the world. You must be involved in the world, but not be psychologically attached, represented by the hanged Apostolate. Notice how he hangs upside down with his head towards the earth, but only touching it with his thoughts, meaning, he does not identify with materialism or the vanities of this physical plane, but is in constant remembrance of God.

One must be hermetically sealed in one's use of psychological energy, but this does not mean we become dull, lifeless and zombie-like. Instead, the conservation of energy is the result of knowing how to fulfill upright thought, upright word, and upright action within our interior, or the proper use of body, speech and mind. This can only come through constant meditation on our actions, physical and internal, in relation to the law of karma within our life.

If you're confused about what you're reading, stop reading and relax, meditate and reflect. Do not get caught up in the head, but work more with your heart. Meditate on your heart temple and utilize a mantra such as RAM-IO, ONRO, OM MASI PADME HUM, in order to invoke your Divine Mother. She will give you clarity of thought, mind, speech and consciousness if you are diligent in remembering Her presence within your heart. When you know how to better relate with Her, you will know how to better relate to any person you meet, whether spiritual or not. Conflicts exist because of the mind. Therefore, conquer and master yourself, and you will master the world.

Joyful in hope, suffering in tribulation, be thou constant in thy prayer.

Benedictis, qui venit in nomine Domini. Osanna in excelsis.
