I have used this quote often: "there is a fine line between compassion and enablement." I think to protect my heart. Of course, this is specific and considering addictive behaviors and tendencies.
After re-listening to the beautiful lecture on compassion from 7/29, I am questioning this verbiage of "enabling" others that we hear often in therapy groups. I do meditate on this, often, but is there a direct quote about this topic? 🙏
