Hello,
Thank you for the question. Consider this statement:
The level of power a word contains is proportionate to the meaning we give it and the level of energy we give when enunciating the word.
In your example of a written word on a piece of paper changing the molecular structure of water is interesting. I wonder if the energy given, or the thought that came forth while writing the word had any influence on how that word impacted the water. What if the writer of such words perceived the negative word as positive and the positive word as negative, or if the word was written in a language completely foreign to the writer to where it is not understood whether positive or negative? Would this still have an impact on the molecular structure of the water? In the first case, will there be an opposite effect as compared to the original experiment you shared; or in the latter case, will there be a change in the molecular structure at all?
To take it a bit further, why does a word spoken by a specific person to another spark a feeling of anger and sometimes violence, when that same word spoken by a different person to the same person that became angry, now results in a feeling of affinity? Is it the word itself, or the identification we give to a word? If it is the identification and not just the word, then can we say that such identification is applied through the consciousness or the ego? If it depends on consciousness or ego, then it has a vibration and vibration is energy, energy is power. Therefore, I submit that the power given to a word and how it vibrates (low or high frequency) is dependent on the consciousness of the one writing or speaking the word and its intended effect.

Also, consider the receiver of such words, if we speak negatively towards another and their level of being is indifferent to praise or criticism, then can we be assured that the spoken or written word has impacted them at all?
Mind precedes phenomena. We become what we think - Buddha Shakyamuni
I surmise that the level of benefit or harm depends on the intention and level of energy placed into a word and the level of being or receptivity of the receiver.
