What is the role of physical attraction in regards to love and transmutation? Is it necessary for there to be a level of physical attraction for transmutation to occur? That is, does a higher level of physical attraction (in the absence of lust and fornication) provide a stronger base for transmutation of the physical energies to occur?
When I say physical attraction, I don't mean it in a superficial sense that is purely physical. I mean the magnetic chemistry of two individuals who complement each other in mind, body and spirit. Where the physical attraction is a true manifestation of the work two individuals have done internally. And I especially am referring to a hypothetical scenario where abundant love exists between the two as this is clearly of the utmost importance for transmutation. Is love and physical attraction mutually exclusive?
My intuition tells me that the answer to this question is that they are not mutually exclusive, which I always thought to be obvious. But as I continue to struggle internally grappling to separate the concepts of lust and love, I find it necessary to reconsider the nature of attraction and its spiritual role. The premise in my mind is that this "physical" attraction in the presence of love provides a bedrock for transmutation to take place as it provides the opportunity to refrain from and eliminate lust, allowing love to take its place and for the transmutation to then be further fuelled by the love and attraction. Is this a correct assumption? Or should I further scrutinise the role of attraction within a Perfect Matrimony?
The implications of this will impact whether I seek out love correlated with attraction or if I allow myself to "settle" for people who I am less attracted to relatively speaking and seek to comprehend how to love purely of spirit instead. I should state again I'm not only referring to physical attraction but the attraction brought about by two people being a truly cosmic match where this would appear unmistakable to one another.
I suppose another aspect to this question aside from the lust is, should the love of a Perfect Matrimony be immediately apparent for individuals who have done the work to reach that point? Or is the Perfect Matrimony something that can be created in any relationship where one is willing to learn to comprehend and grow love in that particular scenario? This is definitely something I need to meditate upon to comprehend further, but I would kindly ask for some clarification.
Am I lustful for assuming that attraction is necessary for transmutation? Either way, I know that I must eliminate lust from the equation and that it is clouding my thoughts.
