The word Matrimony comes from Latin matrem (nom. mater) "mother" + -monium, suffix signifying "action, state, condition." Thus matrimony means "a state or condition from which the Divine Mother can act." Compare this with the mystical Hebrew book of Kabbalah, The Zohar:
“The verse, "And Isaac brought her into his mother Sarah's tent" [Genesis 24:67], our masters have interpreted to mean that the Divine Presence came into Isaac's house along with Rebecca. According to the secret doctrine, the supernal Mother is together with the male only when the house is in readiness and at the time the male and female are conjoined. At such time blessings are showered forth by the supernal Mother upon them.” - Zohar, Genesis 101b
The word matrimony can be analyzed in this way:
MA = Latin Mater (mother), Matter, Mary, the Divine Mother Kundalini, who abides in the Chakra Muladhara; she is the Primordial Substance HEVA, EVE, the female aspect of the Holy Spirit, “Shekinah” in sex. The syllable "Ma" is used for mother in cultures and languages all over the world.
Trimony = trinomial, the union of three: man, woman and the power of sex, which is the Holy Spirit, God, Binah, Shakti. Therefore, what God joined together let no man set asunder.
In Hebrew, the word נישואים
Nishuaim means marriage, and comes from a root that means “to elevate, to rise.” This word has two Yods: one for the man, and one for the woman. As The Zohar says,
The divine Schekina never separates from one who by his pure life and faithful obedience observed the good law, or covenant. If it be asked, when does the holy Spirit or divine life manifest itself in a man? it is when the union we have just mentioned is effected. It is the true, the divine, marriage when they twain become one flesh. - Zohar
In Buddhism, in the Candamaharosana Tantra the Divine Mother says:
He should make love to his own woman [wife],
Visualising her as my embodiment,
And uniting lotus and vajra [sexual organs] in consummation
I [the Divine Mother] will give him enlightenment.
In Christianity, the first miracle of Jesus is the miracle at the wedding of Cana, and the virgin Mother attends to ensure the wine will be given.
“And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the [virgin] mother of Jesus was there: And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage.” - John 2:1
The Zohar, one of the most important books of Kabbalah, repeatedly emphasizes the importance of marriage in religious elevation.
“Since all the females in the world are in the secret of the Shechinah [the Divine Feminine], the Shechinah rests upon whomever has a wife, but not upon him who does not. Therefore, Chizkiyahu resolved to be purified before her, and took upon himself to marry a wife. Then he "prayed to Hashem."
In Tantric Buddhism, the development of the power of the Divine Mother (Tummo: Fierce Woman) is realized through Karmamudra: the Action Seal, or sexual cooperation.
The power of the Divine Mother (kundalini) grows like everything in nature: gradually, when nourished in the precise environment it needs. That is: one man + one woman + chaste sexuality = the gradual emergence of the Kundalini. Through an increase of purity and a gathering of energy, the power of the Divine Mother can gradually take root and grow.
The energy of the Holy Spirit (Kundalini) is a neutral force; it is the outcome of an electrical polarity (positive and negative) which are present in every electrical circuit (Matrimony).
In the sexual act, the neutral electrical magnetic force of Kundalini flows from the negative pole-woman and the positive pole-man.
Man and woman in the sexual act form a perfect electrical circuit, woman is always negative, man is always positive; the neutral force Kundalini is light that flows in the spinal medulla of both.
In the sexual act the two poles Ida and Pingala - in both male and female bodies - alternate between negative and positive and the direction of their Kundalini flows in the spinal medulla of both.
If the man or the woman connects with other partners, this injects third, fourth, etc., connections, dividing the tri-unity (one man + one woman + chaste sexuality) of an already formed electric circuit. These new currents establishes a path of low resistance through which the excessive current flows, which causes damage to the light-Kundalini of the man and woman, the two components of the circuit; i.e. the Kundabuffer is stimulated rather than decreased. This is called adultery, an action that adulterates the man, the woman, and the energy of the Divine Mother. In this case, the energy of the Divine Mother can never awaken positively, as Kundalini, but inverts into a low vibration energy that resolves to destroy the organism in order to liberate itself. This is similar to what happens to any energy that is trapped in a decaying or degenerating environment.
