Hello, it took me a long time to start putting questions up here but it feels good to ask questions i had bottle up in side. Being a man of color and trapped in the culture im in, there is no one i could talk to.

I would like to talk about paths and family.

My wife is a christian. She is open minded about religion, but it is hard to even try to attempt the work if your partner is not on board. I do not even know what i believe but i do believe we have to work to get closer to the lord. for me i have to try something to fully understand it, to know if it is real. Just reading and listen only puts ideas in my head and theories. I want to work with my wife but it hard to when she has no interest or passion about trying anything out side of christianity and me not knowing what is real or not, or not even knowing what im talking about does not help. it has gotten to the point where finishing something is hard because i question if the material is real or not and if it is the path that i want to take.

In the lecture about the second Arcanum (The Priestess), the instructor talks about everyone is able to bring the forces out of them physically. (But they teach how to do so internally so they were not teaching that in that lecture)

but this is what attacted me to Taoism which attracted me to this site, to Gnosis. I would like to take a path that teaches me to do this physically and in return it will solidify my attraction and i could give my lfie to the work because i would know it is real and be able to lead my family in the right way. i would also be able to show my wife so she can believe.

is there such a path?

If you are sincere about working in yourself and attaining to divinity, then do so with all your heart. If your spouse is averse to this teaching, it does not mean you cannot fulfill it.

This is, of course, very challenging, but how do you not know that, through your good example, your wife will not change?

See what Paul of Tarsus wrote about this issue!
