Conflict creates more conflict. The mind that is in conflict cannot solve any conflict. The answer is to calm the psyche. This is done by seeing conflicts for what they are: the tension between a desire and reality. When we see our desires for what they are — illusions — and we see the reality for what it is, the conflict disappears. Only then can we truly act, freely, without bondage, and for the benefit of ourselves and others.
The only way this can be achieved is by mastering meditation.
