I've read an instructor reply to a question about the significance of race that "All of us are the same. Race provides no benefits or limitations in relation to the soul."
If that is true, and is the position of this group, then why does Samael Aun Weor speak of "the Doomed Aryan race". Is he not speaking of white people of European decent?

The term Aryan does not mean white people.

What does the term mean then?
Who were the original inhabitants of India? Do we have reason to believe that they would have been the same people that live in India now? Or could they have been a different people - as is implied by calling them the "original inhabitants", ie: not the current inhabitants, right?
It is a big change in meaning to go from the word referring to "the original inhabitants of India", to rendering the term essentially meaningless by calling everyone in all the currently existing races Aryan. Why not just say "modern humanity" then?
Which races are not Aryan, if its the vast majority and not all?
While formerly it was believed that the ancient Aryans were European (white), most scientists now believe that the ancient people commonly referred to as Aryan were the original inhabitants of India, which Manu called Aryavarta, "Abode of the Aryans."
However, in Universal Gnosticism, the word Aryan refers not to "white people" or to an ancient, dead civilization, but instead refers to to the vast majority of the popluation of this planet. In Gnosis, all modern races are "Aryan."
