Hey everyone, I'm an aspiring Christian Gnostic. I say "aspiring" because I have not yet achieved consciousness or been "awakened" if you will. This spiritual path does greatly interest me, and I feel a calling to it. I have a few Gnostic books already: Samael Aun Weor's "Beyond Death", Heller's "Gnosticism: New Light on the Ancient Tradition of Inner Knowing", Singer's "Gnostic Book of Hours/Keys to Inner Wisdom", and A copy of the Nag Hammadi Library.
Anyway, to my point... I'd love to achieve consciousness and be able to reflect and be able to actually call myself Gnostic. Is there any advice somebody could give me for achieving at least a starting level of consciousness? Do I meditate? If so, what do I think about / what methods work decently? How do I become closer to that wonderful Enlightenment? Are there instructional books?, etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and I would love to discuss things with people on here from time to time.

Joyful in hope, suffering in tribulation, be thou constant in thy prayer.

Benedictis, qui venit in nomine Domini. Osanna in excelsis.
