Hello, I'm wondering if any of the instructors have a thought on the most relevant place for 'therapies' or practices such as hypnotherapy and or deep breathwork such as holotropic or any in that family..

What do you see as it's most beneficial uses in the great path?

thank you

In Gnosis we seek to awaken consciousness and acquire conscious knowledge. For that, one must be aware of what one is doing. That is the very meaning of being awake.

Hypnos is the Greek god of sleep; Hypnos-is is related to the sleeping consciousness, not awakening consciousness. With hypnosis, one is only playing games with the asleep consciousness.

Stated simply, hypnosis is the antithesis of gnosis.

i will read up on that lecture as well thank you..

In modern hypnotherapy, if done well, the idea is generally to help someone enter an 'altered state' or 'light trance' in order to become more clearly aware of a block or pattern in one's life that their conscious mind may not fully comprehend or be aware of and then using the subconscious to effect a change via will..

so in some senses that aspect would be considered a 'dehypnosis'..

would you see a place for this aspect of that field in relation to gnosis?
i'm very wary of the use of such things to merely change or fix problems, without awareness of them,

so that's the aspect i'm curious about in regards to your understanding of the path..

Those who manipulate the subconsciousness through exerting psychological pressure on the minds of others is sorcery. It is one hundred percent antithetical to gnosis and not recommended in any way by practitioners of this teaching.

Thank you for the reply.

you're responses have given me some clarity..
What you've expressed are exactly what my concerns about hypnotherapy are, and why i've been doing the research and reaching out to you for example.

I'm still feeling out if this science is worth me exploring and what place it has, as i dont htink what's been called 'hypnotherapy' is necessarily good or bad as much as how it's used.

I still have a feeling it can be used for comprehension and adjustment; Without the 'pressure' as you put it from an outside source, but instead using the right guidance and questions and the person in a trance's sincerity i do feel offers one the ability to bring light into dark safely.. safely

to bring about the light of consciousness and shed light on the patterns which are hypnotically ruling someone, and allow it to be changed..not by adding any external pressure..but by means of the right questions delicately done
which would then be the undoing of manipulation or it's ability, hopefully...
Giving the right light for one to ask their own questions, and make their own decision and change their own life if they choose.

and merely be a support in them doing so.

i understand your concern with the matter...and trust me, i've had a great deal of it, and that's why i'm asking and looking to gain greater clarity surrounding it..
it's a difficult one to navigate, and the sensitivity and ethics are delicate for sure

do you feel this science could be used in a way that would be dehypnosis?

thank you again

Hypnotheraphy is black magic. Manipulating the minds of others is sorcery. There is nothing redeemable in hypnosis and is the opposite of gnosis.

However, asking questions during therapy can be helpful if the doctor is guided by his Innermost and his intuition. Controlling the minds of others through hypnosis, on the other hand, is not acceptable in any way, shape, or form.
