Hello,

I will like to ask about my choice of music. Following the works of VM Samael, he discouraged Afro beats, encouraging classical music. I also read an article by Master Afra and he talked of syncopation and it's adverse effects on spiritual development. I love classical music, Jazz and listen to alot of Enya. I'll like to know if my choice is ok. I feel a higher state of elevation when i listen to some Jazz songs and Enya. I will like to know if Jazz music is syncopated and thus unhealthy for the mind.

Jazz is just a further degeneration of afro-cuban music. Note that jazz was invented in brothels.

Also note that music generates an emotional reaction. The ego thrives on emotions that people characterize as "positive" or "elevated" but that are in fact negative to the consciousness. So, do not confuse "feeling happy or spiritual" with genuine superior emotions. These are not the same.

I read this dictation by Elizabeth Clare Prophet on Master Afra and the effects of Voodoo rituals and syncopation. I have not yet talked with him in the internal worlds but will love to investigate more on our traditional practices and music and it's effects.

Thanks,

What exactly is syncopation? And how do we know songs that use it?
