Recently i experimented with essential oils - cedarwood, sage, palo santo. While cedarwood seemed to be benefit mostly the physical body (respiratory trackt) and sage was just an intense and mixed experiense, then palo santo had repeatedly same, quite interesting effects. Namely, it kind of calms your egos (or those intense voices with "opinions" about everything) or gives you some distance to look at what is happening and think about it with more peaceful state of mind.

Also, if i try to focus on some action through some ego - like to write an email because of anxiety of ego-fantasized consequences, i get a mental block and cannot proceed until a way around the ego is found. It is a kind of glass wall to prevent getting involved with ego.

Does somebody share the similar experiences with this oil or i'm making this all up? :)

Essential oils, especially when applied to the temples of the head, can produce relaxation and drowsiness, which are conducive states for self-observation. We emphatically repeat in these studies that we must learn to relax our three brains all throughout the day. This is in order to aid us in developing the evident self-reflection and auto-analysis of the Being, since if we are constantly agitated, the waters of the mind are disturbed and it becomes more difficult to see within.

Therefore, oils help to relax. I truly cultivate essential oils into my life, a minor detail that I have found is nice before I sit to meditate, since these concentrated substances have pleasant properties and are excellent for purifying your space if you have an oil diffuser. However, they do not develop consciousness of our internal states. They merely help us to calm down and relax the nervous systems so we can be more prepared to work in meditation. That is all.

Joyful in hope, suffering in tribulation, be thou constant in thy prayer.

Benedictis, qui venit in nomine Domini. Osanna in excelsis.
