Where I work, there's a middle manager with a strange habit of staring. During normal conversations, I think it is natural to look someone in the eyes, as a sign of respect and transparency, then politely look away. Recently, during a heated work discussion, we locked eyes, and in order to convey my seriousness I stared back, for about 30 seconds, then looked away.
After the meeting, I developed a major headache with a heaviness in my shoulders. Taking some Advil, I felt better and forgot about it. A few days later, the idea pops into my head that something weird is going on, and now I'm looking out for this staring behavior.
Sure enough it happens, but now I'm thinking he's projecting something through his eyes. I imagine punching him and send it through my eyes, and say out loud, "don't do that", look away and stand up. A few days later it happens again, but this time I was unprepared and got lost in a brief mental fog, where I sort of zoned out, got relaxed, then forced myself to look away.
Am I crazy or can this guy actually be going an occult operation on me as I describe, maybe hypnosis?
I have to work with this guy for 1 year, then he moves on.
What do I do?
Thank you
