Hello, I have been studding gnosis for a few years now and recently came to the conclusion I might be over using my intellect center. (from gurdjieff book the forth way, and various samael text like the intellect can never remove an ego only label or move it). My intellect can take over my body for a month or so after some work, with things like smoking and such but then in my opinion the felling center takes over and I fail. Also I think I almost have to shut down the emotional center for this to work which may also be causing damage to it. Do you all have any tips or tricks I can use to get my emotional center involved in the work?

  • Prayer and meditation on the Pater Noster (1 hr. sessions)
  • Mantras, including Om Masi Padme Hum, ONRO, relating to the heart chakra
  • Runic yoga: the Magic of the Runes
  • The magic of the roses from Esoteric Medicine and Practical Magic
  • Medicine ritual from Logos, Mantra, Theurgy
  • Listening to the classical music of the great masters (Beethoven, Bach, Mozart, Wagner, etc.)
As I wrote to another student: you may want to work with the ritual for the angels of medicine (see Logos, Mantra, Theurgy: Light and Darkness, specifically the section entitled: "Symptoms and Theurgic Therapy," which applies not only to psychic attacks, but spiritual healing). This, in conjunction with the magic of the roses, have truly proven therapeutic whenever I've suffered strong emotional crises and when I've needed to treat my heart, developing the superior emotional center.

Joyful in hope, suffering in tribulation, be thou constant in thy prayer.

Benedictis, qui venit in nomine Domini. Osanna in excelsis.
