The author of The Dayspring of Youth talks about the need to aspire but he doesn't give many specific practices. Is he talking about pranayama or is it something else?

To inspire is to take in the prana or Christic forces from the atmosphere in order to mix it within your own particular alchemical laboratory (physicality).

Aspiration is to breathe with prayer, concentration, relaxation, and imagination, to send that accumulated prana up the spinal medulla towards the brain and then to the heart.

We accomplish inspiration and aspiration through mantras, pranayama, and sexual magic.

For thirty years I sought God. But when I looked carefully I found that in reality God was the seeker and I the sought. -Bayazid al-Bastami
