From a Catholic dictionary: Cardiognosis "Literally "knowledge of the heart." The special charism that God confers on some people as recorded in the lives of the saints, to know the moral and spiritual condition of a person without self-manifestation. As an extraordinary supernatural gift, it must be distinguished from the psychological phenomenon of being able to shrewdly estimate someone's minimal external evidence. "

Do Gnostics believe in this too?

No. We do not believe in this. We know about it from personal, direct experience by working in meditation, dream yoga, prayer, and the development of our esoteric powers and divine potential. This has nothing to do with having a belief in the mind or heart, but is something we are well acquainted with by developing our hearts through practical, spiritual discipline.

Joyful in hope, suffering in tribulation, be thou constant in thy prayer.

Benedictis, qui venit in nomine Domini. Osanna in excelsis.

"Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest!"
