Here is a question that I've been itching to ask for a while. If people vote for politicians who are damaging and negative and they already know this in the back of their minds; then, does the bad karma that the politicians create also fall onto their voters for putting them into office in the first place?

Sure I get that, this is one reason I do not vote.

But who is telling them to do? Is this a trick question? From your response I would say the elite, Bankers, CEOs etc. Or are you trying to say its the sum of each individual?

I am unaware of any place in the world today where the vote of the common person actually puts someone in a position of political power.

It is certain that in the countries with the largest economic flow, the politicians are put in place by corporations who finance their campaigns, manage the media propaganda, and control the actual electors (for instance, in the US this is the Electoral College; in the US, the popular vote is only for show.) So in the end, those who put politicians in power are those with economic power: bankers, CEOs, etc. And yes, they acquire karma for all of that, even though ultimately it is only a "chess game" whose outcome is already certain, determined by the karma of the era. Each player on the board is simply playing a role, necessary for the process of karma.

That is why Samael Aun Weor said we should not judge politicians; they are only pawns. The real question is: who is telling them what to do?

I will meditate on this when I am able. I just don't understand how I was damning anyone. I'll have to figure this one out. As I said; meditating will be the only way to decipher this. Remember; I'm new.

I'm not uttering curses on any leaders. At least; I'm not trying to. Maybe I misunderstand. We aren't supposed to utter curses upon anyone now are we? What I'm asking is this. Say you elect an official to office and you go along with his ideals. Then; that person does something terrible that damages the entire nation. I"m referring to anyone, congressmen in the US, etc. Does the bad karma they create fall onto the voters as well because the voters are the ones who put them in there? For example; Years ago- Did any of the German people get bad karma as a result of following Adolf Hitler? The American political machine is so convoluted with corporate greed, desire, and control. There are also politicians who take advantage of Christian people who don't' know the true nature of what true Christianity is in order to get votes. Politicians like the Republicans who want to oppress, hurt, and starve the poor. Tyrannical leaders of years past are another example. A lot of heart breaking things are going on right now. The fight between Israel and Palestine, the border situation in the United States, etc. Governor Rick Perry of Texas has deployed national guard troops to threaten, detain, and harass refugee children on our border. We've had civilians with guns go down there and threaten children as young as 5-years-old as well. I now am starting to see what the cause of all of that really is as a result of studying these teachings. I'm just wondering what kind of karma people might get for electing and believing in such people as Rick Perry or Ted Cruz. In fact; I wonder what involvement in politics period does in terms of Karma. The things they do are so terrible and heartbreaking. Is acknowledging such a thing cursing them? They need help as much as anyone else; if not more so.

Hail, thou, Spirit, TUM SEP, who comest forth from Djedu, I have never uttered curses on the king.
The chiefs of all Nations are the vehicles of Karma; therefore, we must not damn them. - Samael Aun Weor

Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah,
the Root of David, has prevailed to open the book,
and to loose the seven seals thereof. - Revelation 5: 5
