In the Great Work, the process of transmutation is relevant to the animal body & with Temperance we can be ever-vigilant, watchful if you will, of our own machinations so as not to be distracted and deviate from our path. If this understanding is not correct, please elaborate.

However, on hearing the Lecture on Arcanum 14:Temperance, the commandment: Honour Thy Father & Thy Mother was brought into focus.

The understanding of this is that besides the disinheritance or disassociation of our blood-line - to renounce our animal, biological heritage - we also have to disown or disavow our direct relatives. The bonds of family are temporal & circumstantial, as are all relationships, but a fuller understanding of the above-mentioned commandment is required and so the humble request is for an evaluation of the perception of this commandment as stated below and to explain any misconceptions in this understanding.

It has been comprehended that the duality of the forces that nurture & develop the embryo of the soul, require a fine attunement to the internal workings of the ego in order to transform & transmute them into the angelic seeds from which we will then blossom through the Great Work.

The questions regarding this specific section are:

Is the Commandment referring to the Original Polarity/Duality as expressed by Boaz & Jachin as we work ?
Is it also Commanding us to the Compassion we should share with all embryonic souls regardless of their development or actions in this plane?
Should it be taken that the Mother & Father mentioned in the Commandment are the Divine Mother/Divine Father Being that is initially made manifest from the Aktiston Fos?

In asking this question - in the actual process of thinking how to phrase, word & execute this request, the answer has revealed itself.

It has been written & so it shall stand that others who may have the same doubts be aided on their path.

Meditation on the both the Scriptures & the study of the Arcanum as a complete work-in-progress (not seeing the forest for the the log in this case) revealed the lesson hidden from the seeker, nevertheless, Instructors are asked to respond

Awareness is my Light along the way & It Is So.

Study this , especially the third and fourth commandments!

Joyful in hope, suffering in tribulation, be thou constant in thy prayer.

Benedictis, qui venit in nomine Domini. Osanna in excelsis.

"Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest!"
