I was in a field mowing grass. There were large oxen lying around the field. They were huge beasts scattered about, relaxing. I mowed a patch of grass, slipped, and rolled under a thick layer of grass and fur. I began to suffocate and my body gasped for air and lunged up but could not.
Instantly, I flew up and could clearly see with new sight. I was no longer dreaming. It was as if I was looking through a tunnel at the front door of a house. It was vivid, as clear as my physical vision, but without color. Almost like a living sketch. I found I could change the shape of the front door to anything I desired, so I tried a few different types of doors. This was not a dream but something I was actually seeing, just not with my eyes.
I then noticed that I was in my physical body, but I could see this vision anyway, despite being aware that I was in my bed. A few second later, the vision faded and I was fully back in my body. My body was still asleep, numb but not paralyzed. I desperately tried to regain the vision but could not. I moved my arm and then was fully awake.
I welcome any comments and possible explanations of this experience.
