I read on the internet some time ago that one of the Hindu classics has a story that either Shiva or Vishnu would offer himself as a sacrifice and at the end of the world all of the people would bathe in his blood. Its very similar to Christ's Crucifixion story and I would like to know if this is in a classic of Hinduism or not. It could have been Krishna but I am pretty sure it was Shiva. If this is a real story I would like to read it. Thanks

Lava the blood of the earth, the blood of Christ, Vishnu. The sacrifice of the fire [Vishnu's blood] is indispensable for the survival of this planet, whose humanity is agonizing. We should bathe our souls in Vishnu's blood through initiation otherwise Shiva will take care of us through nature and in the underworld through the second death.

The Lord is not slow to do what he promised, as some people think. Rather, he is patient for your sake. He does not want to destroy anyone but wants all people to have an opportunity to turn to him and change the way they think and act.
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein righteousness dwells.
Wherefore, beloved, seeing that you look for such things, be diligent that you may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless. 2 Peter 3: 9- 14

Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah,
the Root of David, has prevailed to open the book,
and to loose the seven seals thereof. - Revelation 5: 5
