Hi, I took an educational class this weekend called Landmark forum. It was a training of how to be authentic with yourself and others and how to live in the present moment by taking action now. An example of how they train you would be they would ask you questions to help you to find out what it is that you really want out of your life. Most people but not all really wanted better relationships with their loved ones. The training went further by asking you to seize the moment and to call that person and tell them. They gave ways to start the conversation by saying for example "I want you to know that i havent been authenic with you...ex. about how im doing or how im feeling...." I pretend that everythings ok when in fact it's not...." and then describe why you have been inauthentic with them by saying "I made up this story about you in my mind..."
When myself and others experimented with this we found that there were many hidden and repressed feelings and many became emotional. After the emotion was expressed there was a clearing in the mental and emotional body and what felt like a regain of lost power.
While the course went much deeper and described the ego in its own way, that was the overall theme to the forum.

My question is, what are your thoughts, if any, on workshops like this? I know that I am extremely unconsious and during the forum questions arose in my mind of whether or not their questions were somehow some form of hypnosis and somehow awakening the conscience in a negative state. in my opinion, the forum was positive because it helped me to come to terms with where I am at in life and relationships and and gave me simple (but not easy) techniques to work towards my goals. I hope that this email is clear about what the forum was about, if not ill go into more detail. Thank you so much for your time.

To comprehend the nature of any given teaching, study this!

Joyful in hope, suffering in tribulation, be thou constant in thy prayer.

Benedictis, qui venit in nomine Domini. Osanna in excelsis.

"Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest!"
