To fight in your consciousness to remember God; to wage war against your animal mind through rectitude (wisdom / conscious ethical discipline) and love (the Divine Mother). Wisdom is the Pillar of Mercy, governed by Chokmah, and Love is the Pillar of Severity, governed by Binah.

To live life intensely is beautifully represented by Gustav Holst in The Planets, especially the Warrior of Mars who must conquer the psychological afflictions, here and now, through moment by moment self-observation and remembrance of the Innermost Being:

Joyful in hope, suffering in tribulation, be thou constant in thy prayer.

Benedictis, qui venit in nomine Domini. Osanna in excelsis.

"Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest!"
