I've completed two semesters of university grade classical Latin studies and have a basic understanding of the language that I would be able to maintain fairly easily, but I know it would be very difficult to enhance my abilities further than this since I am reaching my limits and personal capacities by the end of this second semester. This being the case, I would need to know a very good reason why there would be value in going beyond this level, as far as spirituality is concerned. With a year spent doing Latin in university, and all the online resources, it is easy enough for me to be able to read just about any text that is on the Internet. But my ability to speak it is very poor, my vocabulary is limited to a couple of hundred words, and it might take an hour or two to refresh myself on some concepts, such as the tables used in the active and passive indicative. Thoughts?

Hebrew is very organized. It is an expression of the Golden Language. If you know Hebrew, you can go deeper into the Kabbalah of the Old Testament. Very useful indeed!

Latin is very useful for esoteric studies, such as by performing a close examination of works by great initiates who composed in Latin: Virgil, Ovid, Milton, and many others. If you feel that your Being is pushing you to study this specific language, by all means, take advantage of your education. Personally I study Hebrew since that is a language with which I am more familiar, and it is invaluable for comprehending and studying these Kabbalistic teachings. We must always follow the intuitions of our Being when it comes to study and practice.

I feel that I should know the basics of both languages given the time and prosperity I am blessed with. Israel and Rome were the two cultures that impacted America the most. Hebrew and Latin are the big two languages that come up in the Gnostic books. It is easy to understand how Latin works as a language, and beneficial not to be absolutely proficient in Latin because taking the time to figure out the words being use and how they are being used can help one consciously read a sentence.
In any case I am done with Latin as far as academia is concerned, and wondering if it is worthwhile to pursue Hebrew in an academic setting. Latin had tables, systems and orders which made it far more easier to study for. I am just concerned if learning Hebrew is going to be a mess, if it is all based on memorization of vocabulary and so forth. I would like to kill two birds with one stone and use my required university courses to improve my understanding of the spiritual languages, at the same time these are the most difficult type of courses and the only ones I can possibly fail.
In short what I am asking here is that I want to know if you think Hebrew is a hard language to learn and if it is disorganized. This is information I need because I don't know a lot of people who study the language. At the end of the day my intuition will guide me in any case, but it's also my duty to get outside information to make informed decisions.
