I understand and accept the fact that those that go to hell are there because of their own karma.
But as has been written 'The abyss is filled with people who have good intentions.' Many of these same people would probably not be in hell had our humanity spent as much time preaching the virtues as they do the vices. So many of these well intended people would love to be truly good people but have never found the knowledge... due to karma yes.

However, the whole concept of Hell and the suffering that these poor well intended souls go through is not easy for me to accept, it just seems so unfair in many cases.
Personally, I wouldn't wish hell on my worst enemy, or the worst tyrant, for even a day.
If I was a Creator God, I would rather strip these poor souls naked, and surround them with 30 Masters of Compassion who can truly teach them the errors of their ways by tenderness, love, and kindness, by example. How many souls never even get a chance to feel these feelings this life time, karma aside.

Due to the love God has for us, we here on earth have been giving the free will to create illusions that have nothing to do with God should we choose. God would be a tyrant if he didn't give us this free will. So in this way, was the one who created this Universe with these painful hells a tyrant?

Many of the earlier Gnostic writings seem to elude to this. I know on a personal level the tyrants that they talk about are our own inner tyrants. I'm just really trying to come to terms with Hell. Its like the jail systems here on the planet, they only make inmates fall deeper into sin in most cases, but we as a humanity could make so many better ways to heal and help those that are suffering.

It totally depends. There is great diversity among the essences in hell, as well as among the different levels of hell.

Study the Klipoth course and Hell, Devil, and Karma for more information. And again, I reiterate, reflect on the nature of your own ego, and this will become more clear.

This is why it becomes very curious, this depiction that we have of Hell — that somehow hell is “God's punishment.” But it is not. It is actually the natural consequences of energy that has been put in motion. When you consciously perceive Hell, as Dante did, which he wrote about, you can understand this.

In reality, hell was put in place out of compassion, to give us another chance. If we do not do the work to free the consciousness in our physical life and our time runs out and our karma is too heavy, then nature has a great cleanser, a recycling plant, that will purify us of all those mistakes, and we will recycle and have another chance to try again.

Thank you, yes I believe I'm trying to understand something that I don't have enough real experience to understand.

But I didn't mean to suggest that God is the one who put us there, I know that is not the case, only we have the power to put ourselves in hell. But hell itself is there for us to put ourselves into, and it seems to me, that objectively speaking, there could be much better systems made to purify sinners rather then the extremely unpleasent things that happen in hell. I've worked in a recycling plant so thats a good way to put it. :D

Master Samael showed us that even the most vile demon in hell could be saved when shown love and compassion.

Is there really no other system to help sinners other then a gruesome hell that could be congnized? I seem to think there is. Which is why I wonder if hell itself is created by a tyrant, not God.

I will read through that link and meditate much more. Thanks again.

Concerning this, my friends, it is not irrelevant to remind you that there, within the infernal worlds, live some Masters of compassion who work helping, assisting those souls who are decisively lost, yet since they have God within, they are blissfully happy.
- Samael Aun Weor, Hell, Devil, and Karma

What you are describing does happen, but those essences trapped in Hell reject the assistance of these Masters of Compassion, just the same way they reject the Prophets and Avatars here in the physical world. Meditate on your own ego to understand why this is.

Thank you that helps and is very interesting.
So could that quote by Master Samael be understood by saying that souls in hell may not be experiencing fully what is happening to them, rather they are lost in their mental fantasies, and not at all cognizant of their true condition?
