Greetings! I'm wanting to clarify the more subtle manifestations of lust so I can recognise it in my life. Looking to where lust exists without the desire for sexual gratification. Would you say lust is:

Altering the appearance in any way to go out in public (putting on 'nicer' clothes)

The yearning/desire to be attractive

Magnetic attraction between man and woman - situations where the heart beats faster, face becomes flushed and self consciousness pervades without any sense of genital arousal

Is the state of yearning (for anything) a state of lust?

When in public, wanting to be noticed by men - not to have sex, but simply to be acknowledged. (In a culture where ascetic beauty is venerated and everything else overlooked)

Preoccupation with finding a beloved (Desiring union on all levels, beyond copulation)

I'm thinking that lust requires a yearning/desire for something and I'm wondering if it encompasses all yearning or does that yearning need to have a sexual connotation to it...as in some sort of sexual act as its ultimate outcome.
