<p>Greetings.</p>
<p>during my past I have initiated myself onto a spirtual path, I have developed spritual skills at Christian spiritualist Church, learnt eastern esotericism at Brahma Kumaris meditation course. But I hit a buffer when my pyschic development slowed down, and I have never been able to achieve astral travel.</p>
<p>To try and reignite my spirituality I have recently joined a Rosicrucian order, but I have read on your forum that they are a black lodge and this bothers me. I have not been initiated yet just been taught some things I laready knew. If I left my memebership and became a gnostic would that be better for me? Why are they a black order?Who can really say what is black and white.</p>
<p>And from a philiospohical point of view balck and white are yin and ying (they are necessary for one another). Secondly does any one being have the right to say what is right and wrong(except the creator)?</p>
<p>Please help me ASAP as I am currently in the process of joining another order that is not mail order so I can learn more and physically interact with others.</p>

Schools are often difficult to navigate, especially when we lack knowledge, foresight and experience. My best suggestion to you is to investigate possible schools, but be reserved in your choices and affiliations: do not offer your hand too quickly to whomever you encounter, Rosicrucian, Masonic or even Gnostic. The tendency of newer students is to instantaneously affiliate with the newest order, lodge or institution without investigating its teachings, instructors and students.
Different schools have instructors and students with different levels of being: knowing what will help you will take time and patience. It would be wonderful for you to find a good Gnostic school and instructors who can help you, but that is not always necessary at all stages of the path. Personally, I was without physical contact for many years while I studied Gnosis on my own. But by utilizing the tools presented in the literature of the Master Samael Aun Weor, I was able to gain considerable progress in my work and to gain (and maintain) direct contact with conscious beings in the internal planes--all without an instructor or a school within my vicinity.
Therefore, you do not need a school to make progress, although schools can help. What matters is your work. If you're serious, your level of being will attract and place you in contact with others with the same level of being, as well as instructors who may guide you. This may occur within the physical and even the spiritual dimensions (the latter circumstance having occurred in my case before the physical).
See attached to this post Samael Aun Weor's lecture on spiritual schools. Meditate and reflect on its contents before making any decision to join a group, Gnostic or otherwise. You need to be cautious about affiliations, since if you make a pact too quickly with a group, you might ensure dire consequences in the near or far future that are beyond your present understanding, (since unfortunately, group dynamics involve ego). I've had this happen many times (and mostly even with schools that call themselves "Gnostic").
Therefore, test the school, the instructors and their teachings in measure with your own insight and the law presented in the scriptures. I have found Samael Aun Weor's writings to be essential in this, since the literature and teachings are more important than the instructor or school. Meditate on your Innermost, since He will instruct you about what you need and with whom you must associate. The internal dimensions and the wisdom of our Inner Being are the best school we can consciously attend.
