If the sins against the holy spirit are not forgiven isn't it game over for pretty much anyone who has fornicated even once (which is probably very close to 100% of people on earth).

This doesn't sound right.

I fornicated before, but I regret doing so and repent..
But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil [sex], thou shalt not eat of it [like a beast]: for in the day that thou eatest thereof [like a beast] thou shalt surely die. - Genesis 2: 17

Therefore:

He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathers [sublimates] not with me [their libido] scatters [fornicates] abroad.

Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy [fornication in thought, word or action] against the Holy Spirit shall not be forgiven unto men.

And whosoever speaks a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come. - Matthew 12: 30-32

So,

The payment for sin is death, but the gift that God freely gives [after the death of LUST] is everlasting life found in [the substance] Christ Ieshua our Lord [in the Initiatic resurrection]. - Romans 6: 23

Oh yes I see now. It was my ego who was asking that question. And he must die.
So long as he exists it's a sin.
