Not sure if the question can be definitively answered here, but it never hurts to ask...

Any ideas as to why the ancients built their monolithic structures all throughout the world to
mirror the heavens?

Were these grand structures to be made as markers for future generations to perhaps help humanity here to
never forget?

In the case of the Grand Pyramid in Giza I've heard that it may have acted as a sort of giant battery. I tend
to agree with this theory... in that, before the degeneration of certain civilizations they were very
holistic in how they approached and treated their surrounding environment, and the people at the time were
given access to and the ability to implement certain devices on a grand scale. However, not all of these megalithic
sites seemed to act as the Great Pyramid had in it's own special function...

Any perspective provided is always appreciated.
