Ok, Old and New Testament are treasuries of initiatic wisdom.
But there are so many translations out there, and some of them are so horribly distorted.
Would you please be so kind recommending some translations? Especially the one used in gnostricteachings.org?
Personally, I own several print editions, and usually refer to King James and Jerusalem (with Hebrew). However, when studying I usually use various websites that have all the translations side by side. I do my best to consider the English as only a rough estimate of the scripture, and dig into the original language (Hebrew, Greek, Coptic) in order to determine subtle meanings that the translations lack. Of course, this is all based on my method of study: I do not read the scriptures like a novel. I focus only on brief passages.
