Esoteric Symbol of the Rooster

Greetings,

I had an astral experience in which I encountered a young dark colored rooster hopping from stone to stone along the bank of a river. It seemed as though the rooster needed my guidance and so I was helping it along it's path. Eventually, I parted with the rooster and was instructed by another that I must continue my work with the rooster in order to save Christmas.

I know that the rooster is a symbol of Christ and that Christmas is a symbol of the birth of Christ within me among the animal ego. This is significant because of a recent 3rd dimensional experience, thus it has been confirmed.

However, I am curious if the color of the rooster is significant.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this?
