I began practicing transmutation less than a week ago. I began 30 minute meditation sessions two days ago. I attempt to quiet the mind during these sessions and at times throughout the day. I've had some degree of success. I have been able to clear my mind of thoughts by simply being attentively aware of my body; at least the loud and foreign feeling ones. I'm not expecting to become an expert overnight. However, at this point I don't see where this is going. To be more precise, I find myself unsure on exactly what is supposed to be done to comprehend ego.

Is something supposed to happen upon reaching a genuine meditative state? Like some form of trance state? Should my body fall asleep while my mind is still active?

Upon acquiring a silence of the mind, what exactly is to be done? If I am to analyze thoughts or aggregates would that not bring forth thoughts and thus disrupt the silence, the meditation? How is a mind both silent and inquisitive?

How does this silence provide me a means to comprehend or eliminate an aggregate?

Also, I am curious about the necessity for repeating prayers and conjurations three times. What is the reasoning behind this?

Side Note: There are a lot of long drawn out articles on this website. But it seems in my experience very few get to the point or provide practical exercises. Lots of lectures, lots of things to intellectualize over, but not a lot of direct and to the point exercises. Yes, they may exist, but actually finding them can prove difficult. Many articles may have a title like, as an example, "The Root Chakra" but instead of straight to the point information about said chakra there is 20 pages worth of other subject matter that doesn't directly address the title's subject matter. And in many cases it's the same material over and over and over all throughout the various articles. Is there a section of the site that has links to just practical exercises?

Read the books. The lectures were given to clarify the books.

Regarding meditation, study The Revolution of the Dialectic.

This is a reflection of the trinity: Kether (the Father), Chokmah (the Son), and Binah (the Holy Spirit), which are not three separate entities, but one force expressed in three attributes. Our psycho-physiology mirrors the Christ, with Kether in the intellectual brain, Chokmah in the emotional brain, and Binah in the motor-instinctive-sexual brain. The Christ manages the energies of our three brains, therefore when we pray, we often invoke the Logoic Trinity three times so as to be in harmony with the three aspects of our Internal God, through mustering all of our thought, feeling and will in submission to the Lord. While this is effective, it is not mandatory in order to pray.

Joyful in hope, suffering in tribulation, be thou constant in thy prayer.

Benedictis, qui venit in nomine Domini. Osanna in excelsis.

"Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest!"
