Dear gnostic instructor,
We have got the instruction that One must comprehend what one utters on a prayer.

Of course, this leaves most - if not all - prayers and conjurations outside of our power to use since we are complete ignoramuses, still struggling to even achieve the initial degree of Shamatha.

However, to leave the broad spectrum of our troubles behind and return to our given and specific issue:

We see your translation of the Fons Alpha et Omega prayer (and are grateful for it), but we cannot see how it corresponds to the original one. Thus we will not know (much less comprehend) what we are uttering when doing the Fons Alpha prayer. (For us the original *Latin* Fons Alpha mostly just looks like names being given and not words; thus we find it hard to map it to words.)

Thus, we ask for your kind enlightenment once again. Sorry for that. But if you find it worthwhile and to your liking, perhaps you can help us by matching/mapping the translated prayer to the original Latin one?

E.g. Fons Alpha Et Omega[Fountain of the beginning and the ending], Figa[...], Figalis Sabbaoth...

Any enlightening on the ''catch 22 moment'' which consist of the two rules: (1)you need to get preliminary and necessary divine aid to acquire a still mind capable of gaining comprehension and (2) the need to have acquired comprehension prior to being granted the aid of the divine - is much appreciated as well.

To the reader: Please rate this post given if you find the following troubling to match/map together as-well or not:

In Latin:
Fons Alpha Et Omega, Figa, Figalis Sabbaoth, Emmanuel, Adonay, O, Neray, Ela, Ihe, Reutone, Neger, Sahe, Pangeton, Commen, Agla, Matheus, Marcus, Lucas, Johannes, Titulus Triunphalis, Jesus Nazarenus Rex Iudaeorum, Ecce Dominicae Crucis Signum Fugite Partes Adversae, Vicit Leo De Tribu Judae, Radix David Alelluyah, Kyrie Eleison, Christe Eleison, Pater Noster, Ave Maria, Et Ne Vos, Et Venia Super Nos Salutare Tuum, Oremus.

Translated to English by GnosticTeachings.org:
Fountain of the beginning and the ending, in the womb, the gestated host of God is with us; oh Lord, oppress the arrogant, come and go and defend me, reject pains from the impious, fasten, consume them, you are strong forever, oh Lord. Lo and behold Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, triumphant names, these are in the sign of the cross of Jesus of Nazareth, king of the Jews; run away hostile powers: the conqueror lion of the tribe of Judah, the stem of David has prevailed, praise Jah, the victorious lord, the victorious Christ, our father, hail Mary, and now, oh master of superior mercy, let us pay respect to what is thine, let us pray.

Fons Alpha and Omega

Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah,
the Root of David, has prevailed to open the book,
and to loose the seven seals thereof. - Revelation 5: 5

We fail to understand your answer. Is this truly the full translation?
Also, the link made refers to this very same forum post. Was that made so intentionally?

As emphasized, we do not wish to demand anything as we are more than thankful for the work already done by the community of instructors on this website.

We take for granted that your silence speaks that one knows what one utters in these prayers once one has awakened consciousness to such a degree and ought not to know it formerly, perhaps a clarification may be given in this regard.

We are grateful for the time and effort offered in answering to these posts.
