I would like to ask some questions related to incense;

The first Logos streams on as a directly perceptible aroma. A being of a higher or lower nature lives in every odor. Very high, god beings live in incense; they draw us up directly to God. The lowest kind of beings are incarnated in musk scent. People who know about such things use musk for sensual attraction. Rudolf Steiner

1. Is it true that some forms of incense can attract lower level beings?

2. Incense releases essential oils, fragrance and smoke into its environment when burned physically. However internally, herbs such as White Sage appear to emit something else into the environment, something which is apparently out of sight for the physical eyes. What is this radiant material? I cannot recall if it was Rudolf Steiner or Leadbeater, but in one of their books there is a crude drawing of this phenomenon.

3. Incense is said to attract the Gods, can you please explain to us how the burning incense attracts these beings?

4. Normally resin is burned on charcoal discs, however in Mexico they sell Copal resin combined with charcoal in stick format, this makes it much easier and convenient to burn the resin, do you recommend this sort of incense?

5. With sulfur placed in an open container, how often should we replace it with new material?

1. Some rituals of black magic utilize incense. What is important is the intention of the practitioner, since certain degenerated substances can be used, in conjunction with tenebrous will, to invoke demonic forces. The incenses we mention on this website are used for white rituals.

2. When burning incense, the vital, etheric fumes cleanse the surrounding psychic atmosphere. This is the superior component of the physical incense, which when ignited, liberates Christic elements. Physical fire is merely an expression of Christic fire, which...

3. ...when we utilize with sincere devotion and prayer, charges the atmosphere with spiritual forces, signaling to the angelic hosts our spiritual discipline, thus invoking their aid.

4. Incense sticks are beneficial. Nothing wrong with them.

5. From what I understand, pure sulfur is very powerful, and therefore can be left for long periods of time, since it is a highly condensed substance that emits tremendous forces and ethereal vapors. You might want to exchange the container's sulfur once in awhile if you intuitively feel that your home space needs a change, psychically speaking. That is up to your judgment.

Joyful in hope, suffering in tribulation, be thou constant in thy prayer.

Benedictis, qui venit in nomine Domini. Osanna in excelsis.

"Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest!"
