Hello.

We have listened to the Healthy Spirituality courses but cannot recall getting an answer to this question:

What types/breeds of animals (and plants/vegetables) are set in degeneration but commonly seen as a food dish in the world of the humanoid kingdom?

We know from the Healthy Spirituality course that we are what we eat and if one wants to be in regeneration then one should gather elements/atoms that are that - regenerating; and not elements that are degenerating and thus inclining us towards degeneration: e.g. pork/swine.

This questions poses the exact same question as this post does.

But as we could not find a answer to our question in the reply being made there we thus ask for your kind enlightenment again. :)

PS: Knowing that we are what we eat we know not to eat foods that are processed and/or treated badly (e.g. non ecological standard meat & plants/fruits). This is clearly and very well stated as to how to avoid in the Healthy Spirituality Course. What we do not know is which precise foods, except pork and I guess, shrimp, we are not to eat. We may be inattentive and thus missing that this - list of degenerate foods/beings - are indeed stated in aforementioned course. If so, then we apologize and ask for a correction.

Thank you very much for your time and efforts. May God bless you for the aid and hope you give us through your lectures.

Part of the reason you could not find the kind of answer you expected for your question is that the kind of list you are searching for simply does not exist.

Nowhere that I know of does Samael Aun Weor have a laundry list of all the species of plants and animals on the planet, where he classifies them as either "evolving" or "devolving" so students can fanatically avoid consumption of those organisms. In my view, even the creation of such a list would imply a drastically over-simplified view of nature, unbecoming of someone with Samael's wisdom. However, we do have a warning about pork in particular, due to its almost ubiquitous prevalence and generally negative effects from consumption.

(As a caveat, some spiritual traditions do have such lists. However, they are often either largely symbolic, or geared towards those doing very particular practices on a certain level of the path, and therefore do not pertain to all students.)

The instructor in the previous question that you linked to said use your intuition. This is the best advice. The healthy spirituality lectures provide some guidance with this, even in the form of lists like you ask for, to help the student select types of foods that are safe. But in the final synthesis, nature is far too complicated to reduce everything in it to a simple checkbox of "Eat" vs "Don't eat."

Every food has certain influences that flow through it, and all of them affect our psychology in some way. As you pointed out, these influences come not only from the organism from which the food is derived, but also from how that food was prepared. Furthermore, the influences in a given food that may be harmful for one student may actually be necessary for another. And our needs may change as we continue our work.

So, rather than trying to live by a rigid, dogmatic set of rules, we try to listen inwardly and pay attention. We observe how certain foods affect our psychology, so we can learn about them, and guide our selection of nourishment based on our psychological and spiritual needs, as well as the physical.
