Can someone explain what it is to go through an emotional crisis on the path. Specifically the symptoms, duration, hallmarks etc.

Maybe a real life example would be helpful.

Thankyou

Kamaduro (karma of sexual passion and fornication) and karmasaya (karma of adultery) produces great emotional crises. For example, I know the case of a gnostic couple that struggled with their marriage as the wife felt attracted to one of her acquaintances from work. It was unavoidable for her to see this man, who was a strong karmic tie to a remote past. She communicated this struggle to her husband (unwisely so) and produced tremendous disturbance within their marriage.

This ordeal, being caught between her husband and this other man, is an example of karmasaya and the Direne Ordeal as explained in The Three Mountains. I do not know what happened to the woman's marriage, since this was a source of tremendous struggle for her. However, this is a perfect example of the waters boiling at 100 °C, whereby those submerged lustful elements of karmasaya and kamaduro must arise within the disciple so as to be comprehended and annihilated.

Joyful in hope, suffering in tribulation, be thou constant in thy prayer.

Benedictis, qui venit in nomine Domini. Osanna in excelsis.

OK.

Are all emotional crises limited to the effects from Kamaduro and Karmasaya, or can they arise from other factors?

Thankyou.

Why is it unwise to tell your spouse if you're feeling some affection for someone else? I would have thought that is what love and friendship in a marriage is about.
Why would God make us go through this "Direne Ordeal" such an ordeal that if failed has very very serious consequences. I just cant imagine having finally found a woman who I am in love with and who loves. Only to hear she feels affection for another man due to an ORDEAL from above?

Could be such karma also a cause for very deep depression and also as a punishment for asking your Inner Being for a wife against his will and only for your own will (Being gives you wife, because you asked even though it was against his will and you know that too)?
This explanations really adds more knowledge regarding my experience!

In that particular case, the wife told her husband that she was losing her love for him.

The intelligent course of action would have been to explain her struggles to him, asking divinity for comprehension and annihilation of the egos of adultery, as well as for her husband to help her.

The Being is intelligence (Binah). Our Divine Mother does not give us what we don’t deserve, nor what we can’t handle.

For thirty years I sought God. But when I looked carefully I found that in reality God was the seeker and I the sought. -Bayazid al-Bastami
