14 Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.

15 See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.

16 Rejoice evermore.

17 Pray without ceasing.

18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

19 Quench not the Spirit.

20 Despise not prophesyings.

21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.

22 Abstain from all appearance of evil.

23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

24 Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.

25 Brethren, pray for us.

26 Greet all the brethren with an holy kiss.

27 I charge you by the Lord that this epistle be read unto all the holy brethren.

28 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

It has been asked frequently, about the Master's advice for women to abstain from all transmutative practices during pregnancy, what the precise reason for this is. Why did the Master answer in this way in that lecture of importance to women? What is the negative impact of stimulating the ever-present sexual energy while gestating the child?

It is out of ignorance, not arrogance, that this question is being asked. It seems one can research the Master's works with intensity and come up with nothing that might hint (to the ignorant) the exact reason.

We can only think of two reasons why the proposed question has not received an answer from the instructors. Either the answer is contained within the second or third chamber teachings, or the instructors simply do not know the answer. In either case, a response is warranted. It seems that up to this point, the only response has been to repeat verbatim the words spoken by the Master in that lecture of which we speak. We have studied the Master's books intensely and in no way does this seem to be a course of response that the Master would condone. Perhaps the Master was wrong about this particular question or perhaps the Master was answering based on a personal experience. In any case, it would seem appropriate that if the instructors have no knowledge of such information to state that plainly. And if they do have the information, but have sworn an oath to protect it from the ignorant, this also should be stated plainly.

It is clear that in any interaction between the seekers of Gnosis on this forum, ego will certainly be involved. It would be a mistake to all students and instructors (which are the same thing) to allow that to be a hindrance to the development of self knowledge for any of us. We are all working at our own particular level, and to hold that against us would be cruel. All we as seekers of Gnosis can do is be as honest with each other (and ourselves) as possible. If honestly reveals an ego, all the better.

It is with great thankfulness and sincerity that I write this post. The goal of this post is not to expose an individual, but only to expose the Truth.

Sexual abstinence is a tremendous sacrifice... Willpower’s strength is the tremendous force of sacrifice... It is the crown of thorns of the Master.

All of the mother's energy should be directed towards the development of the child's body. The father should respect that process, and take advantage of that pause in sexual cooperation in order to meditate on his lust.

Forgive my ignorance. I was under the impression that alchemy was an energy producing practice.

Couldn't the mother just as easily direct the energy toward the development of the child as she could toward the rejuvenation of her energetic centers?

You mentioned the father, are you saying that only alchemy between a couple is to be ceased or does the mother also need to stop practices such as pranayama, matras, and sacred rites?

If I am understanding you correctly, you are saying that any sort of work with the energy is to steal that energy directly from the process of gestation of the child? But, that doesn't make sense to me. As we have always done practices of various types in order to build energy, then direct that energy through will and imagination. Wouldn't it be a practice to awaken consciousness for the mother to build energy and consciously direct it toward the development of the child?

Perhaps to eliminate the confusion of motive, we should leave discussion of the father out of this and focus on only the subjects involved.

Thank you very much for taking the time to address this. It has been a big question of mine for some time now and it is excellent that we can have a discussion in order to clarify to ourselves exactly where we stand in the midst of facts and wisdom.

Alchemy does not produce energy, it transforms it. Energy is Christ. We cannot make that. :)

A mother is free to do whatever she wants. If she wants to follow the guidance of the Divine Mother, then when she is pregnant she will devote everything she does towards the child she is bearing into the world. During this time, she should pray a lot, especially for the child, and asking for help preventing her ego from affecting the child. Read Beauty.

Love is sacrifice.

Presuming that the couple is living together, married, then the father is not separate from the pregnancy. His behavior, emotional state, and mental state will undoubtedly affect the child. The child knows who he is (even from within the womb, which is after all, only a short distance inside the woman's body). The child is aware of everything that is happening around it.

Therefore, the couple should take responsibility for the child, and sacrifice their desires for the benefit of the child. They should devote themselves to giving the child the best of everything, so when it emerges into the world it is strong and well prepared to deal with this degenerated world.

Regarding the sexual activity of the couple, it is a crime to envelop a child in a sexualized atmosphere. A child should be allowed to keep its innocence and purity. Those who engage in the sexual act during pregnancy (whether "transmuting" or not) create a highly sexualized atmosphere for that child, which will definitely corrupt its development. That is why it is called a crime against nature. This is why the mother must strictly avoid transmutation: for the benefit of the child. She can pray and meditate.

"It is also urgent to know that the spouse must never be obligated by force to practice Maithuna when she is sick or with her menstruation, or when she is pregnant, because these are crimes of violence against nature.

Thank you for providing me with another point of view as to why the Master would say this. According to your last quote of the Tarot and Kabbalah book, it sounds as though the Master is viewing it as a violation of the common cosmic trogoautoegocratic law.

One has to wonder why Master Moshe did not speak of it in Leviticus 18. I have yet to discover any other scripture that covers the subject either. It is spoken of in the Talmud, but I'm not certain that is a wholly reliable work. I suppose we must consider that the Bible may not be a wholly reliable work either, considering the adulteration that it has undergone over the years. I guess none of us can really be sure of any written work, including the Master Samael's. The urge of people to put their own egoic spin on things is just to strong in humanity. I suppose the only thing we can do is rely wholly on our Innermost to guide us.

To me it seems quite infrasexual to say that sex without orgasm would corrupt the nature of the child. I definitely see how the practice of animal sex could corrupt the nature of the child, but not what is taught here. I don't see how something so pure could be a corruption to anything. Although, one must consider, as the Master says, the bad in the good and the good in the bad. It is certainly another one of those issues that aren't really clear and to navigate is like trying to cross the edge of a razor without falling.

It is clear that the Master Samael Aun Weor is the foremost authority of occult wisdom in modern times and we must respect and consider that. As a Master he also stated,
"do not follow me, I am just a sign post. Find your own path."
The Master also stated,
"...facts are facts and when faced with the facts we have to surrender."
So it clear that it is our duty as seekers of our own path to seek out the facts and test them against our own intuition. Begging and praying to our Divine Mother for guidance.

Another factor is that I remember reading the Master stating that the soul, while the fetus is being gestated, can come and go as it pleases. Leaving the womb at will.

The soul is not a prisoner, however, for it can enter and leave the maternal womb and its body at will.
- Reincarnation and Karma

Once again, I am grateful for the efforts being put forth here to help those who may encounter confusion during their work. There are so many dangers in this path and it is good to consider the views of others who do this work also. Of course, experience is the path to Gnosis, so it is important to keep that in mind. That nobody can tell you the perfect will of your own personal Father.
