This week I've had days where I was listening to lectures at least four or six hours per day, and in general I listen to at least one audio lecture per day, but intuitively I have felt the need to step it up and arrive at some breakthroughs, so recently I have listened to a lot of lectures that I felt would help me, then I carefully listened to the Meditation without Exertion series again, and this combined with book study and practice has really led me to a state of awe about how simple and complex these teachings are, and the danger within both elements.

From all of my studies I know a couple of things for sure, the greatest one being that mindfulness and self remembrance are absolutely essential. Jacob's ladder exists in every moment. Legends can be born depending on how one man or woman decides to face every moment, I think this is why the Meditation without Exertion course focused so much on ethics, it is because ethics is so intertwined with mindfulness. Relaxation from second to second is also key.

Really I have some good memories from a very young age, as young as being a toddler and being four years old and interacting with older children who had manifested more ego, these memories are really priceless when it comes to elucidating how to be. It is good to meditate on these memories and the Viparita Karani mudra is a good posture for it since it seems to really increase how far you can dive into your memories.

And ultimately on how to meditate is also simple. We deepen our relaxation while profoundly reflecting upon how we are seeing, to deepen sobriety and attention and to cease dreaming and thinking naturally, to continue to relax the body, heart and mind. This is a great extension upon our self remembrance and ethics throughout the day. Then we do not strive for results, just place our faith in our Being, we just profoundly observe consciously, and we arrive at imagination, inspiration and intuition.

So these things are simple enough to understand, simple enough to think "I've got it" then we forget them.

Really part of success is just getting to a good spot in life and exploiting our advantage, but we are so egotistical that we try to add unto this great opportunity with all of our desires, trying to take them like baggage to heaven as the instructor says.

And that is where part of the difficulty is, because our mindfulness can easily fall apart and the situation can deteriorate rapidly, and then we begin to become subject to inferior laws of great complexity, laws we will not understand, we will just be stuck in them. Then we get trapped in very cyclic behaviors of various types, they might not have to be the worse things you could do but then that could be worse because you become complacent and build inertia, not realizing that even the best intentions could fail to produce the results you need.

This is in many ways why things become so complex, because you not only have to deal with these things in yourself but also in others. We can read about the seventh sphere of hell and then go meet someone in person who is violent against everything because they abuse sexuality. Then we can turn inwards and see that in ourselves as well.

That is just one sphere. There are many behaviors, feelings and thoughts related to all of those that we have to learn how to deal with in order to develop virtues.

And not to mention it is an impersonal description when we are reading about a sphere of hell, or if we are self remembering and dealing with a person exhibiting extreme behavior related to a sphere then it can become easy to deal with them, but it is particularly difficult dealing with our own resentments and lusts, but it is also where the best results are made for ourselves and others.

We also have to learn how to manage our vital energy, there are many employers nowadays who exist with the malicious intent to rob as much vital energy as possible which could lead to complete disasters. Abuse of the motor center can lead to an intellectual crisis, etc.

One could really write all day about the dangers that exist out there. It is very important to both gain experience and intellectual knowledge about what could harm us, and if we have the misfortune of being exposed to various poisons to become as conscious as one can become in regards to the experience, to contrast it to polarities to see the beauty and ugliness in it.

We can't forget that we need to fuel our spirituality too. Some beef can go a long way and provide the energy you need to drive your practice.

There are really too many complex variables to mention, it is kind of why the emphasis is on meditation. One good benefit of meditation is that it is also a shield, a period of time where you are a lot more likely to be doing something good for yourself and avoiding wrong action, for yourself and others, actions that generate mindlessness. Really we need to jam as many good practices and deeds as we can into our day, actions that benefit ourselves and others, because a day without that just makes the next day harder. Mindless cycles are a capital threat.

We certainly need all of these resources. There are some who I meet that say they do not read or listen to lectures very much. This is really incredible for me to hear according to my own mind, because when I look into my own memories it is like I am looking into the mind of a dog, like I am running from place to place in a very wild way. Pride destroys our meditations and destroys our ability to meditate. We need to be very well trained and know what we are doing, and the greatest part of that is realizing that we have no idea what we are doing, we have the minds of intellectual animals after all...

We need to study a great deal and over time as well, and as consciously as we can manage over a long duration of time, because there are a great number of reasons why we are not getting it. We need to have a certain amount of information in our work memory, and certain experiences in life, mixed in with the highest degree of consciousness that we can produce, and then we can arrive at deeper levels of emotional knowledge, when combined with the longings of the Monad applying pressure on us to realize can make it easier to act.

In any case, do use the resources extensively but intuitively. There are a reason that there are so many books and lectures, and you could benefit a lot from hammering away at them, but only if it is consciously directed at your needs. But to highlight the point of this testimonial, it is to learn a couple of very crucial laws and apply them in practice profoundly, specifically sinking in as much effort as you can into mindfulness and attempting to master karma as best you can in your life.

We need to sink so much effort into mindfulness, in order to stop daydreaming and projecting. It needs to reach the levels where it is perverse to the ego. It needs to get to the point where we are signing our souls over to the devil for a penny, that's how far we need to go with mindfulness. The ego needs to die.

This, combined with a broad global knowledge of all the teachings and the dangers, so your situation would spiritually improve. The trick is to be awake so you can use what you remember, from moment to moment, to know what you are doing in the moment. To be there and know what you are doing.

Transcendental Axiom of the Tenth Arcanum: "The knowledge that thou buyest with thine experience is expensive, and the knowledge that thou lacks and thou need to buy is even more expensive."

"For in much wisdom [is] much grief: and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow." -Ecclessiastes 1:18

Psalm 13

[[To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.]] How long wilt thou forget me, O יהוה LORD? for ever? נֶצַח (Netzach, meaning, "Will you forget me due to my egotistical mind?" how long wilt thou hide thy face from me?

How long shall I take counsel in my soul, [having] sorrow in my לב heart daily? how long shall mine enemy be exalted over me?

Lest mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him; [and] those that trouble me rejoice when I am moved.

But I have trusted in thy חסד mercy (Chesed); my לב heart (from לבנון Lebanon, or the power of Nun, the transmuted seed that rises up the spine, ו Vav, and enters the לב heart), shall rejoice in thy salvation (through sexual transmutation).

I will sing unto the יהוה LORD, because he hath dealt bountifully with me.

Joyful in hope, suffering in tribulation, be thou constant in thy prayer.
