What are good passages to study, of any book, to understand, for those whom are still "young" in the path, those who are sincerely starting to practice pranayama, and still have yet to find a spouse?

I find it hard to understand most of the books I have come across, as it seems like it is symbolically written mostly about the mountains, and initiations of the major mysteries, or practices that are much too advanced for the average person to consider.. But very few things I can find written about the minor mysteries, and initiations of the probative path.

Is the idea that these initiations come on their own? Or should one be invoking and asking for these initiations whenever we by-chance discover we are out of the physical body in a dream lucidly for example?

Invoking is to call upon forces, or Beings, into the environment. In the interior worlds (astral, mental, etc.), this may cause you to perceive the force or Being that you are invoking.

Invocations can be a simple supplication with honesty and purity of heart. To invoke your Guardian, you simply ask for it. I am unaware of any special prayer to do so.

The Invocation of Solomon, and others, are powerful prayers which bring us in contact with superior elements of our innermost Being.

Actually, although you can certainly invoke your Guardian, that management of the initiations is not done by you. It is managed by your Being.

Initiations occur simultaneously in the physical and internal worlds, through the way we act, respond, feel, think, etc. to the diverse scenarios of our routine existence. The celebration of achieving an Initiation occurs in the internal worlds, however, the Initiation is not for you, it is for your Being. "You" may or may not have any presence or perception of that event. Regarding initiations, we should never assume anything unless they have comprehended actual lived perceptions.

The four ordeals are always occurring. Every problem you face is an ordeal of some type or another. Lets say you have a plan to move to another city. You have everything set up, and suddenly something happens which ruins all of the plans, and there is great uncertainty in your future. How do you react? What is the nature of your psychology during those moments? Perhaps you have a dream where you are swept up in a great tidal wave. Is it a nightmare, are you seized with fear of the unknown, are you trying to scream among gulps of bitter water, unable to awaken from such torment? Or, in that moment, do you let the waters take you to somewhere new, with equanimity and peace in your heart, knowing that your Being never abandons you? And if these events, external and internal, are occurring simultaneously, perhaps if you meditate upon them you will discover something new about your self.

The elimination of a psychological aggregate does not need to occur through conscious astral experiences. Everything depends upon the nature of the aggregate. You can comprehend an aggregate in meditation without profound super-sensible imagery. Obviously, some level of imagination must have occurred, but don't think that you need a profound samadhi just to comprehend something. Really, it is best to work with a lived experience, and comprehend that specific experience. Then, when you have comprehended that minute detail of life, move to eliminate the aggregation of elements which acted in that specific moment. The invocation of your Divine Mother can occur in your physical body, which is simple prayer with a profound faith. Of course, it can occur in the astral world too, but that is not necessary.

All of the initiations, from the minor to major, involve different variations of the Four Ordeals.

Therefore, all of the books of Samael Aun Weor are instruction for passing the Four Ordeals, whether in the minor or major mysteries.

Study The Great Rebellion, Revolutionary Psychology, The Perfect Matrimony, The Revolution of the Dialectic. Meditate upon them.

Very interesting, regarding the four ordeals, this is a very helpful insight, thank you.. I have a followup question.

The original reason that provoked me to ask this question, was after reading this quote from samael:
"In the Internal Worlds, the candidate has to invoke the Guardian of the Threshold. A terrifying electrical hurricane precedes the terrible apparition."

It seems to me like an important statement,
I just do not comprehend yet how should one be invoking and asking for these initiations..

I'll try to explain how I understand the word "invoke", and maybe then you'll be able to point me in the right direction or provide some insight.. as to if I am heading in the right direction?

For example, when one is going through process of asking [or invoking] the divine mother for the elimination/comprehension of a defect, one "consults", or "uses" their stored and transmuted energires, at the right point [for example, in the moment one begins to astrally unfold] they, in that moment, beseech the mother to show them how to comprehend this, or that "i" that has been thoroughly retrospected. Thus, if placed correctly, and done with sufficent faith, one may find themselves in the astral, in a scenario where they are confronted with the ego, or a given a clarvoyant vision, or a claraudient message, ect... that will provide them a lesson to comprehend that given defect..

Is this a correct way of explaining the process of invoking? for example to invoke a guardian of a threshold, [or a master, or buddha, or a god/goddess] The idea, is we beseech our mother, or our inner being, to call upon the given deity/trial/or location we wish to project to? And if done correctly, like in the moment we begin to astrally unfold, we should accurately be taken to that being, or temple?

So the idea is that, whenever we by-chance discover we are out of the physical body in a dream lucidly for example, or find ourselves entering into a deeper stage of meditation, one is presented with this opportunity?

So the idea you express, is that this results in, the experience of us facing some level, of the four ordeals?
