My inability to find a local Gnostics group in my locality to study with is affecting my spiritual growth. In the alternative, can l request for a teacher or lecturer who can guide me step by step? Am deeply interested in the Gnostics teachings but my inability to be guided is affecting me adversely. Yes, l do listen to past lectures on the Gnostics radio but it cannot take the place of an instructor or teacher. Cheer.

What matters most is your individual discipline. Groups are vehicles for the transmission of the doctrine and spiritual force. This can be extremely beneficial so long as the group maintains utmost purity in delivering and practicing the teachings. However, if it is your karma to be alone for some time, then so be it; accept your situation with gratitude, because it is part of your path. Karma is administered by your Being, so as to help you become spiritually mature. Do not worry; you will, in time, become associated with other groups in the physical plane if you are serious. This is known as the law of attraction. However, be careful what you wish for.

I began these studies many years ago without a group, and the first real (and perhaps only) Gnostics I met were in the internal planes. They have helped me more than anyone in this world, providing many warnings about the dangers of spiritual groups. Samael Aun Weor wrote about this extensively in his book The Major Mysteries, specifically in Initiatic Preparation, so I suggest you read that and bear in mind that the term "spiritualist" applies to "Gnostics" as well.

So long as there is ego within people, there will be problems and ordeals. Do not think that by joining a group you will advance further: attendance and participation with a group does not indicate progress. Sadly, this is what many so called "Gnostics" think, that a big group and constant attendance means everything is fine. In fact, a large majority of students will often remain stagnant and achieve nothing, simply because many groups teach dependence rather than the independent, self-cognizant and revolutionary will of the Being.

If you're alone, that is wonderful, because you have an opportunity to truly develop yourself without interference. Remember that the most adverse circumstances strengthen the soul the most, like a sapling that is displaced and planted in hard ground, forcing its roots to dig deep into the earth, thereby establishing a powerful tree unlike the weak that have no foundation. This is obviously what your Being wants, because this is where you are at; therefore, take courage, and be humbled, since this "solitude" will provide you tremendous force of will, if you know how to take advantage of it. I speak from experience.

Groups can help, but they will only be effective if you know how to practice on your own. Otherwise there is no force. Do not feel dismayed, because you are never alone. Your Divine Mother Kundalini and your Innermost are always with you, even if you do not see them. Christ wants to make His child into a warrior; therefore, be firm, practice to the best of your ability, and pray every day that He give you the willpower to transform yourself into what He wants: a Tree of Life, strong and majestic, that gives life and shade to those who suffer from delusion, one whose roots can never waver or be pulled, since they are established within the pure and stable earth of comprehension.

If you need strength, study the referenced excerpt below from Friedich Nietzsche's Thus Spoke Zarathustra, written for those who suffer much like you, and who in the remembrance of the Being rise to the occasion to reap the fruits of knowledge and conquer suffering.

Joyful in hope, suffering in tribulation, be thou constant in thy prayer.

Benedictis, qui venit in nomine Domini. Osanna in excelsis.

"Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest!"

I am encouraged by the responses from the Instructors. I won't relent. I believe that my Divine Mother will guide me on this path, after all I was Divinely led to this path. I purchased several Gnostics books such as A Gnostic Prayer Book, Practical Astrology, The Revolution of Beelzebub, The Yellow Book, The Perfect Matrimony, The Divine Science, Kundalini Yoga, The Spiritual Power of Sound, The Mystery of the Golden Blossom, Alchemy and Kabbalah in the Tarot, Dream Yoga and The Gnostic Bible. I have Kindle version of these books and I read every day particularly the Gnostic Prayer Book. The experience is wonderful. I must confess that I've never experienced anything like this. Thanks a lot. Kind Regards, Moses

Unfortunately, there are many students who feel similar. You can take solace in the fact that this path requires enormous self-effort regardless if the person has a group to attend. There are many people who have a group, yet they never practice outside of the group, on their own, at home. So, because of this, they progress very slowly, if at all. What can never be replaced is your Innermost, your Spirit, your Monad, your Divine Mother. You can develop that connection without the help of anyone. Pray and ask for guidance.
