Gnostic Instructors,
In many lectures it is said that the word christ comes from the greek word "Christós" and means fire. I have been unable to find this translation anywhere other then through the gnostic lectures. Most other translations and etymology say Christós means "anointed or covered with oil."
How does gnosticradio come to the translation of Christós to be fire?
Also, might this oil have something to do with fire?
Thanks
J
