In my time on the internet I have come across many "spiritual coaches"

They say that in order to learn things like meditation quickly, it is necessary to have a paid mentor to guide you.

These people usually charge thousands to be on of their students, and I have contemplated working with them wondering if it would sky rocket my spiritual progress.

But then I found the teachings here at Glorian all provided for free, and in practicing prayer and connecting with my being I am starting to question whether or not these coaches are the real deal.

My question is, is it ethical for these people to charge money and in a way gatekeep wisdom, if those who pay benefit from the practices?

Did Samael Aun Weor and other masters do this as well?

or are people like this to be avoided?

Not out of any ill will but for ethical reasons.

My intuition tells me that they are, but because I am still relatively new to meditation, it is hard for me to decipher intuition from ego.
